this show has a lot of potential. I am laughing all the time. hopefully the characters won't get old.

this show started a little on the slow side but picked up amazingly during the second part of the first season. it is great to have a show with such a great leading female at the hem of this ship. it is set perfectly in the post-war US with a woman trying to fit into a world dominated by men. the whole cast is doing a great job at bringing that time to life. the whole way of speaking, dressing and behaviour sets a perfect tone to show just how badass a woman can be especially when underestimated by the men around her.
a really good show with a great cast from both sides of the pond.

excited to see where it is going after the developements of season 1. glad they added another brit ;)

who can resists a british guy in a uniform? I cannot. additional monsters involved? great! the only thing that annoys me if the witch-wife-situation. just get rid of her already xD

best pirate show at the moment. john malkovich is an amazingly cruel and witty but also somewhat charming blackbeard leading a group of rough outlaws. his wit is only matched by the wit and cunning of richard coyle. who is also a great spy and surgeon. a great on screen duo with many other characters who seem plain at first but reveal many secrets and hidden agendas as well as truely dark and cruel personalities.

a great adaption of a great novel.
especially jonathan strange is played amazingly. he seems really strange at the beginning and rather annoying but he grows on you. he ended up being my favourite.
some things were changed from the book but that is a given with any form of screen adaption.
also great minor characters.
the whole cast was amazing. I loved all of it.
a gripping fantasy story that is fitted so well into a historic setting it might just be true.

cowboys in space. great characters with a great chemistry but the dialogue is a little flat. other than that great story and great specialeffects (even up to this very day)
sad it was cancelled.

gripping suburbian drama with catchy characters and deep social criticism. the cast delivers the depths of the characters convincingly and with an inner truth that is amazing. especially rory kinnear's performance, although short, is outstanding.

this is a show that has a little bit of a slower pace but the time that passes during it's storytelling passes really quickly.
it deals with the inner struggle of a leader who works his way to the top favoured by the gods and of his followers, family and friends (some of which turn out to be less friendly)
all is set in a brutal time in the past. the tone is nicely matched. the whole thing is finely tuned. even the language. it is made clear that those vikings do not speak english and even the english do not speak contemporary english. it is quite confusing at first but I have grown to love this. makes the difference between the northmen and the english easily seen.
oh and the dudes are quite easy on the eye as well ;)
