I love this show. Just binged the whole season. Loved the diversity, loved the characters and amazing story line. And that twist...

NIce story. Interesting take on another character origin story. Are we gonna get full length episodes anytime soon CW?

Each "clip" is a minute long! Interesting story to see a bit of what happened in another part of the world. But the 1 minute shtick was a bummer

Read the book years ago. Was surprised that they kept with some of the characters. It was an interesting watch

Scully and Mulder are back together again. Finally. Didn't pay too much interest when they were replaced n the latter seasons though. I'm enjoying what I loved about the original; their messy relationship (can't Mulder ever say goodbye before he hangs up the phone on Scully time and time again? lol). Seems to have a monster of the week story arch going on so far. Thought they would have the one story line with the government conspiracy since it's only a mini-series type of deal. Glad that they're mixing it up. What about episode 3 though? I was laughing for most of it. I'm only up to episode 4 so we'll see how it turns out. I hope Mulder finally finds what he's looking for. #iwanttobelieve

I didn't have high expectations for this series, so I wasn't surprised when I was disappointed. Acting was meh, character deviations from the book seem unnecessary. Just an overall no for me. Might not even make it to ep2.

While Shadowhunters won't win any awards, the seasons actually got better and better. I enjoyed the welcome deviations from the books. I'm glad they took a story with potential and made it their own. I was looking forward to seeing more, but of course, the show is cancelled. At least it gets a chance to eek out a conclusion to the series

Started watching because the premise sounded promising. The errant pupil theory sounds like it would make for a great show. Animals on the rise, fighting back, gaining intelligence....awesome sauce!!

I Would probably rate it higher if it wasn't for the reporter chick's character though. She is so annoying. She starts off with her conclusion (Reiden Global) and picks all the data that supports that conclusion. That's not how science works at all. Her ideas are so far fetched as well. Dogs attack a tourist; it MUST be Reiden Global. Lions attack in Africa; Reiden Global. Bats in Antartica, RG. sigh

I know that Reiden Global is connected to the story somehow (although I'm hoping by some miracle that they're not totally responsible), but the way that this reporter is just out to criminalize them because they messed up her town...it's just ridiculous. I hope it's all because mother nature is tired of humans f'ing up the planet, so this is her way of bringing back recognition and balance

Hope the series picks up though. Will probably get around to reading the book, knowing that the book is always, always better

So, I ended up watching the series all the way to the end. The pilot did manage to pull me in from the start. I was excited to see angels having awesome powers stopping the forces of evil. However, as the series progressed, I realized that I was to be disappointed.

It didn't matter to me that it was based on the book of revelations (It is a story after all) There was a solid premise that had so much potential. But the one dimensional characters failed to convey what could have been an epic series. The atheist scientist, angsty teen, self righteous evangelist...I wish they would have given them a bit more oomph as time went on. The plot lines just got more stupidly ridiculous after every episode.

At the end of the season, the only scene that caught me (though a bit cliche) was Rose calling every one out on their weaknesses. By the last scene, I wondered how in hell this show would get another season. Came to this site and realized that it didn't. Good call on that one

After watching the first 4-5 episodes, I was craving answers, so I read the series. Great piece of work btw. The story line of the books and show kept me hooked. They've mostly kept to the books so far, although it seems that the plot lines are diverging more and more recently. Still a pretty interesting story. Can't wait to see how the season ends.

Addendum- Just saw the finale. Sorta glad that it wasn't stretched into more than one season, yet, sorely disappointed by the deviations. I know, I know: the books are not the episodes. But, there was a lot of room for so much more. And then the ending...uugh. Overall rating now 3 stars

Watched the first episode. This show takes itself way too seriously. If it went all the way into funny,like Another Period, or it stuck to the more traditional tones, it would have been better.
This attempt at mixing the contemporary themes with the traditional doesn't turn out well in this case. Might watch another ep if I can tear myself away from my book
