This is what you call a solid show. And yes, the acting is not great. But there is a lot of cool stuff in there. The transformation from human to wolf and back is awesome. The wolfs look great.
There is some origin stories in there wich I always like. For me personally they can do a lot more with that. The pack in Stonehaven has so much history. Use that.
In the 2nd season they use the connection between the witches and the wolves. Wich I find really intresting. The origin of the werewolf lies in the history of the witches. It made sence to me. Witchcraft goes way back to the Salem trials. So why not.
So... if you like werewolves. And the whole mistical world surrounding this. Go watch it.
Allthough I rated this show 3 stars, I am still sad this show got cancelled. It deserved a 2nd season. It got a lot of good stuff in there.
A solid cast, with Matt Ryan as a great John Constantine.
Some creepy story lines and some awesome special effects.
Overal I liked it.
This show is all about Tatiana Maslany. She plays multiple clones on the show. The clones look a like but are not a like at all. There are lot of things different. How they walk, accents etc. This must be so difficult to play 5 or 6 different persons on a show.
I just finished watching this series. For me the fun part was recognizing the actors from other shows. The not so fun part is all the unanswered questions. But still a 3rd season for answering the questions and making an end to the invasion of the visitors would be a fitting end to this show.
There are some intresting story angles. Like the healingcentres and the blue energy the visitors brought to our planet. But still the visitors are lizard people with our skin? Hmmm ok. But there are interesting angles to the story with some curveballs. I liked the show but I don't think I will be watching it again.
I only watch shows about law enforcement if there is something different. That is a bit the case, with a conman joining the FBI. But the storylines are solid. And what really makes the show is the connection between the conman (Matt Bomer) and his boss with the FBI (Tim DeKay). The last season has only 6 episodes but I really liked how they ended the show.
When you read the plot. You think outsiders with super powers. Hmmm they begin as criminals and rise as superheroes. But that is not really the case. Sure they help people in their way. But because of the storm a lot of people get powers. And the 5 misfits always get in trouble with those people.
The first 3 seasons are the best. After that the cast gets replaced and needs you to get newly invested in the show. A pitty really because I liked the orginal cast. Especially the relationship between Simon and Alisha.
And if you think that this is a superhero show like Heroes or Smallville you are wrong. There is a lot of humor and bad language. And stuff does not go as plan a lot. Especially for the probation workers.
There will be a season 4! It are only 6 episode's but.... there is a season 4!
When I was young I read a lot of Stephen King books. So watching a tv show wich is based on a Stephen King novel makes me excited. And there are lot of things that are exciting but still I expected more. The cast is great but I think the explaning for some storylines is not working for me. Still this show is not a waste of time.
Sons of Anarchy is about a motorcycleclub. That is the short version. But there is so much more then that. For example the cast is so talented. And the writing... wow. Kurt Sutter is a genius! 7 seasons and you still want more! The show is maybe to violent but in tv world of today, I think not.
I have so much respect for Jennifer Garner. To be Sydney Bristow in your first big role. WOW! Impressive stuff. After a couple of seasons it got a bit flat. But they ended strong. Do you like spymissions and spystuff (like James Bond). Then this is your show. Well written and keep you on the edge of your seat!
