Found this little gem on Netflix. I have to say it was worth the watch. Disappointed that the show only had one season. This is one of those shows that Netflix should pick up and carry on although I doubt this will happen.
I really enjoyed this show. It was a perfect combination of a crime show, a medical drama, a thriller show and a life experience show. Wish there was more than just one season but most good shows have a hard time finding a spot on peoples plates.
love love love this show. It was the perfect chill out show. It had humor, mystery,"crime", and all the feels. I especially love how they ended the show total class.Spoiler : I had to laugh at Claudia all grown up trying to be a mature adult in the end show she seemed so awkward. lol
Watching this was hard. To think how close we came to living in a world like that gives me the chills. The plot is hard to follow with the lies and misdirection know for in spy shows but the characters make the whole thing worth it. On a personal note I love how there are a few Supernatural alumni in this show. It made a fun game for my friends and I to spot them during each episode.
When I read other review on this on media sights I thought oh no not another cocky, no it all ME detective show. I resisted watching it until I had run out of shows to watch on Netflix. I decided to give it a go and wow I was surprised. Yes Rosewood or Rosie as he likes to be called is cocky and a know it all but he is the sweetest most caring kind of person with such a sense of humor you cant help but love his character. Add to that supporting players who are 3 dimensional real life type of characters and good cop\ mystery drama and poof Rosewood is a winning show.
At first I was unsure if I wanted to watch this show. The movie was okay but obviously geared towards men. This show however , once you get into it is about strong women and the strong men who stand with them. I found myself drawn into the stories of Aztec goddesses, sibling rivalry and love and of course the hints to the movie were fun to spot. I totally recommend this to anyone who liked the movie, likes vampires and loves shows about families, strong men and women and humor.
Despite all the hype over mumbling and sound quality I found this to be one of the better historical book to screen adaptations. Yes they had thick accents, yes it was hard to hear them, but its the language the characters are suppose to use and its the moors which is the location its suppose to be. Id rather have real and raw then fake and plastic when watching a historical piece. Thats just my two cents.
