For all of us who have loved and lost our favorite TV shows to the Cancellation Monsters, here is a list in progress. Whether you liked the show, enjoyed it or are heart-broken that it's gone, leave your comment below and I'll add as many as you like (doesn't matter how long ago it was canceled) to the list. Vent, cry or just leave the show title, let's see what shows we all miss. : )

Aaron Sorkin

He who can do no wrong, as far as I'm concerned. I love all of these shows. I also love how loyal he is to his actors. Most of all, beautiful writing.

A list of shows to binge watch...

A work in progress, I am so far behind in most of these that I'll need a fortnight off work just to catch up on one of them!!!! Some, I missed when they were shown, others I forgot about them as they went on hiatus or perhaps didn't like them before but have been persuaded to give them another chance...if you see this list and have a recommendation, leave it in the comments! :)

@Elise Favia, it's so great that you added Midnight to our list. Someone mentioned it in a review the other day, here on sidereel and I thought, "...even though it's over, I like the sound of it." Must.Watch.

Now, I really need to get myself organised for all these shows that are new to me, always a great thing!

Thanks so much! : )

I was just commenting on T.J. DeGroat's Midseason spring dramas post and remembered how good the show 'Awake' was (at least to me). Like all the others on our list, it deserved at least one more season to wrap things up, so I'm sneakily adding it. : D

Don't think I can include the link to the Midseason, 5 new Spring Dramas we're excited about but it is on the main sidereel page and the shows are truly fantastic. Please, don't let the cancellation monster get any of them...*crosses fingers*

Not sure this will be your taste at all, but:

Bunheads! And Galavant, Go On, Selfie.

I also miss Community, Cougar Town and Gravity Falls a lot, although I'm not sure those would count as cancellations.

Also, Being Erica. That one bugged: ABC bought the rights to remake it, so the Canadian version stopped and then the American version was never produced!

And a recent one: Good Girls Revolt, canceled because the dudes at Amazon didn't get a show that centered around women, apparently? Messed up. It had a lot of potential.

And last, Terriers. If you haven't tried it, you must! It's only 13 episodes and very good. A quick write-up I had saved from somewhere:

"Terriers has really strong similarities to Veronica Mars, such as:
- not just PI’s, but ex cop (dismissed under a cloud) turned PI
- self-contained episodes where a crime is investigated and resolved, while a larger story arc is pushed forward in every episode
- dark, flawed, cynical heroes
- seedy underbellies, lower-class have-nots versus the haves
- snarky dialogue
- California beach town setting
Then I noticed that Jed Seidel, who was co-exec producer and writer on VM, is now a consulting producer on Terriers. This might be part of the reason for the Veronica Mars vibe.
Also Tim Minear (producer/writer for Firefly, Angel, Wonderfalls, and Dollhouse) is an executive producer on Terriers, is another reason the show is great (but possibly doomed?)"

@visidereel -it doesn't matter if your show is my taste or not, this list is for everyone, so all your shows have been added, with many, many thanks for the time it's taken you to compile this list. : )

I loved Being Erica and was, like you, beyond annoyed that the US version didn't go through. She still had a lot more stories in her and it was a fun, intriguing show that I still miss.

Thanks for the review, that's fantastic, insightful and makes me want to watch, you did your research there! Kudos! I will add Terriers to my must watch list - I think most of the shows here will end up there at some point, one day when I find that part of my brain that organises stuff! :D

Your comment has just blown me away, with so much thought put into it. I'm beyond thrilled to get one TV show added in a comment but to get so many is just amazing. That said, I am sorry that you lost so many of your faves...it always hurts!

Come back with more if you think of any! Thanks visiderereel : )

@asleom. Thank you very much, I couldn't agree more. :/

I've been thinking about making this list for a long time but wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in joining in. Thanks to all the great sidereelers above (and hopefully some more will join us) I'm really happy I took the plunge. : )

Networks, ugh. They bring us these really interesting shows then seem to have no idea what to do with them, like visidereel's mention of Good Girls Revolt. I remember choosing that for the weekly picks as it had such a great premise. I want to see shows about all different types of people but I really wanted to see one about an office where a young Nora Ephron worked in the 60s/70s. Ugh to the people who cancel our faves yet keep shows that just have me, I think most of us, dumbfounded. :/

Okay, my rant is over, hee! Thanks so much for your comment, Asleom. : )

*clears throat* FOREVER !! (ABC, starring Ioan Gruffudd). Also: Hindsight (VH1). Two engaging, fun shows that had lots of life left in them. (Technically, Wonderfalls was also canceled too soon, airing only 4 eps, though I saw the whole season later. And 33 Mockingbird Lane, though it didn't get past the pilot. Bryan Fuller FTW. :-)

And, just to mention stuff already on the list: Limitless and Agent Carter. I really enjoyed Person of Interest, but IMO it mostly ran its course.

@ArkhamNative - I'll get to adding all of your shows, right now. As ArkhamNative says below, there are a lot of great recommendations on this list, thanks so much for adding yours. I was tracking Wonderfalls, I didn't know it had been cancelled. Aargh :/

I know Limitless will be on a lot of folks minds when they (hopefully, maybe) discover this list - that one hurt a lot of fans who were invested in Brian's story. Even though it's been added, people can still say in the comments, as you have, that it was a shame it was canceled, if they'd like to. : ) Maybe someone, somewhere on another network will renew it for all of the fans still hurting from its cancellation. We can only hope that for all of our shows...

I know, POI was my choice and I guess it did run its course but I'd just love to see it picked up again. I could watch those characters forever. I have another list for shows that ended well but that I still miss (a list created today - it's another work in progress). I should probably add it there but I do feel only 13 episodes for the final season was about 9 episodes too little. : )

Thanks again for commenting and adding your shows!!! This is so great!

A Gifted Man, Alcatraz, Alphas, American Gothic, Believe, Blood Ties, Carnivale, Constantine, Containment, Cracked, Cult, Dark Angel, Dollhouse, Firefly, Granite Flats, Intelligence (starring Josh Holloway), Jericho, Kyle XY (most heartbroken about this one! A MASSIVE cliffhanger that will never be addressed!), Life Unexpected, Minority Report, Perception, Second Chance, SGU: Stargate Universe, The Collector, The Dresden Files, The Finder, The Gates, The Glades, The Mysteries of Laura, The Player, The Returned (A&E / Netflix version), The Tomorrow People, The Whispers, Transporter: The Series, Witches of East End, XIII: The Series

Wow! @Old_Maid, this is incredible. Thank you so much! :) What a treat to come back today ( Monday) and find all these shows in the comments. I am sorry that you've lost so many shows that you loved. I loved Alcatraz, Alphas, Believe - and that's just from the start of your list. We share a lot of lost shows in common. :/

So, give me a little time today to get these added, alphabetized no less, you are amazing!

I saw that we were at 29 shows on Saturday and hoped we might get to thirty, I certainly never expected this! It's as @Asleom said, the networks cancel too many good shows, especially ones with a lot of fans.

Thanks so much for taking time with this, I look forward to adding them all in by the end of today.

I'm so glad I finally started this list, everyone who has contributed either one show or 20, or commented, you rock!!! I just wish the networks would stop canceling all out favorite shows...

Aaaaand, that's them all added for you, @Old_Maid. We are now at 57 shows! I love that we're all sharing our shows but hate that we've lost so many great shows that should have been given more of a chance. As I was adding your shows to the list I kept having to remove, about 80% of them, from my tracker (*not good*) as they had been canceled. ugh. I've added them to watch later. I loved Intelligence, loved The Whispers. Thank you very much for adding Firefly, I was hoping someone would add one of my most favorite shows.of.all.time. - you did!

Again, many, many thanks for such a comprehensive list, you've got us up to three pages of shows.- a bittersweet moment but I truly believe our 'lost' shows need to be represented.

Another three for the list...Flashforward, The Event & Persons Unknown. I really enjoyed the episodes of these shows that I have watched, but they were all cancelled before I got really invested. So when I read that they ended without resolution, I didn't bother with the remaining eps. There is only so much "leaving a show up in the air" that I can take! :-)

@toyocyabyty-37b9b - You are so welcome. I can't recommend your 'Two Season or Less' list highly enough, it's chock full of really great shows. : ) Seeing so many great sidereelers' around the site, missing their shows so much, just infuriated me at the networks and all their arbitrary cancellations we've had to endure. It's made me wary of starting new shows until they've been renewed for a second season. :/

I'm thrilled that you've found some more shows, although, as I keep saying, each new show we find means there are lots of devastated or just plain irritated fans out there saying, "...just one more episode would have cleared up that never-to-be-solved cliffhanger!"

Please feel welcome to add anything you want to this list, you know you're more than welcome, always. : ) I thought that after the cull of 2016 it would be a good idea to try and gather all of our lost shows in a list that just screamed, "Nooo, how could they!!!" :/

@Old_Maid - I absolutely loved Flashforward and boy, was I invested. Crushed when they canceled it. I even re-watched it last month, just to see if I could figure out what might have happened in the second season. Sadly, no. The Event is yet another I had on a list to watch...

I totally agree about the lack of resolution, it just sucks all the enjoyment that I did have with a show right out of me. That said, Booth at the End was one that I went into knowing it had no resolution, so with open eyes, I really enjoyed it, possibly because I knew I was just there for the journey, not the neat wrap-up.

I do have a real soft spot for shows that have been canceled and am more than happy to watch them as some of their ideas are so exciting and innovative but, as you say, there is only so much I can take. So, I watch these shows every now and then, otherwise I'd just be overwhelmed with the disappointment of good writing and acting lost to yet another cancellation.

Thanks again, Old_Maid, glad to know you weren't too upset by the most recent additions being canceled. : )

@everyone who stumbles across this list:

This, I might already have said, but I really want to hear from sidereel folks about the shows they've lost.

There are so many genres of TV and countless diverse, eclectic shows that I knew I'd never find even a small percentage of them. These gems that, even though they perhaps didn't last long, are more than worthy of watching and sharing with everyone who stumbles across this list.

That's the reason I made this list, instead of just adding shows I was missing and upset about to my *canceled* list from 2016.

It just seems right to give both sidereelers' and their shows a little place to gather and join up, in unison.

So, please, if anyone has stumbled across this and would like to join in, please add in your show, we'll all be very thankful to you for contributing.

Great list! One of the very short-lived shows I frequently think about is Best Friends Forever. Stars and co-creators Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair eventually landed on USA, where Playing House is heading into its third season, but the six episodes of BFF (only four of which actually aired on NBC) were abso-freaking-lutely fantastic.

FlashForward was so so good, I have a million theories as to why/what would happen next! Another show that got cancelled too soon was Jericho (2006). A really interesting premise that, with a bit of tweaking and expanding, could have easily been made into a super, long running multi-series story.

@T.J. DeGroat, I'm absolutely thrilled you like the list that everyone here has compiled. : ) Thank you very much to everyone who has helped create it! : )

The networks that cancel shows after only a handful of episodes (Doubt, anyone - just one episode?) or, in your case, Best Friends Forever (not surprisingly, I haven't seen it but will try and find it) have a special place in TV Hell reserved just for them.

I don't know Playing House, either, so will check that out, tyvm! A new show! Yay! Glad to know that the stars/co-creators went onto another show. I always wonder what happens to the amazing talent behind the scenes of shows that I've just adored yet have been canceled. I should really know more about the writers, producers and showrunner's so that I can see where they next land. Must try and do that in the future. Until your comment, I'd never thought of doing that. Big thanks.

Thanks for contributing to our list, T.J. : )

@Lucy - hi there! Ooh, we should get together and chat about what might have happened in FlashForward, the ending was just so...open with possibilities. Plus, I can never comprehend how they could cancel a show that had such an exceptional beginning - when Joseph Fiennes jumps onto the car roof and all he sees is a highway and city devastated! In my top ten of shows I hated to see canceled, FF is very high up that list. :/

I really enjoyed watching Jericho. As always, an astute observation from you as it did need tweaking and expanding both with the characters backgrounds and the storyline. It touched on so many themes that are now IRL, dominating the news, privacy, etc. Definitely didn't deserve to be canceled.

Thanks so much for adding Jericho, leave another comment if you think of any more shows! Tyvm! : )

@ArkhamNAtive - hi! Nice to hear from you. : )

Yes, it's just that I had read an interview with Soderbergh where he was so enthusiastic and said he said he had radical plans for seasons 3 and 4, turning it into an anthology season that renewed itself completely (cast/story/writers/directors) every two years. As you've said, it would have been mostly new story, etc. It sounded amazing and he even thought he might come back to it, plus he described season 3 a little.

So, ever since, I've been really looking forward to seasons 3 and 4.Drat! Soderbergh seemed so thrilled that, after I read the interview, I never saw the series ending after season two. I guess it just illustrates how things can change in a year. I have no doubt that he'll bring something else into the world that's outstanding but I am sad that his plans for The Knick didn't go as he had hoped.

The best laid plans, eh? At least we had two seasons of it to enjoy. : )

The Pretender, JAG, Republic of Doyle, King & Maxwell, Aquarius, Eyes, Early Edition, Mercy Street, Scoundrels, Gilmore Girls (original series, not the latest piece of rubbish - that wasn't Gilmore Girls). I would say Human Target, but they ruined the second series. I don't believe SG1 was cancelled too soon - once they brought in the two actors from Farscape it went downhill and in my opinion it should have been cancelled before they were added to the cast.

Re: Hellcats You would expect a show with 22 eps to get picked up, so that had to hurt - bad - giving so much time to a show only for network execs to cancel it. :/

One of the (many) things I love about this list of our canceled-too-soon-shows, is that someone will come along and say,

"I'll give Hellcats, Jane by Design and *insert show name* a watch. I didn't know about them when they were on."

That's all of your shows added. I added in Human Target as I'd forgotten all about it and that would have been a definite pick, for me. I was almost rooting for it to be put out of its misery and, as you might guess by this list, it's rare for me to want a show to end.

I loved Early Edition. Kyle Chandler can do no wrong.

Thank you, again!

@Michael Primrose - thank you so much contributing your show, The Middleman has been added! I do hope it had a good resolution and not an awful cliffhanger.

It's great to see a show that's from a graphic novel on the list, tyvm. Hopefully, we might get some anime shows as well. I'm hoping this list can become as eclectic as possible, I think we're pretty far down that road already, though. : )

Many thanks! : )

Hey, great idea for a list :)
Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies both got cancelled way too soon in my opinion... ;( especially Dead Like Me had a terribly open ending, which the movie just screwed up completely!

this list is really growing. I see you havee Stargate Universe and stargate SG1. But i miss Stargate Atlantis.
SGU was especialy bad with that open ending like that. Drifting into space forever and no clue if someone lived or not.

@Laura Haslett - thank you so much - I really didn't expect it to take off the way it has. I'm astonished and thrilled, plus really glad everyone who comes across it has a place they can add in their faves. I know it helps me to know I'm not alone in missing my shows. : )

Yours is the fiftieth comment. Whoah! You should get a special sidereel badge or complete box sets of all your favorite tv shows - for life!!! :D

I've added in your shows, when there's an open ending, ugh, heartbreak. I didn't know Dead Like Me starred Mandy Patinkin, I've now *got* to see it, even though the end is well, y'know! :/

Thanks so much for both adding your shows and giving me (and probably others) a new show to watch).

@Domiimusic - I know! :D Like I said in the comment above, it's so fantastic that people are finding the list and adding in their shows. I feel like we've all created a wee nook where all the canceled-too-soon shows can be found - all in one big list created by everyone!

I've put it as my featured list, so hopefully it will keep growing, giving even more people a chance to add their shows. : )

That's Stargate Atlantis added. Sorry to hear SGU had such an awful ending, there's nothing worse when you invest so much time in a show and the ending is just left open - maybe they lived, maybe they got hit by an asteroid??? Not knowing is a betrayal of loyal fans, imo, and although I haven't seen many of the SGU shows, I know my friends love and are captivated by them. Very sorry to hear it ended that way, I think I would have been in shock...srsly. :/

Thank you for coming back and adding another show, that's so great! : )

I *loved* The Carrie Diaries, which was an adorable 80s coming-of-age drama, completely independent of the fact that it was a Sex and the City prequel, which was the least interesting component of the show (and probably what lead to its demise).

@RacheIL - hi! That's The Carrie Diaries added. I'm really sorry you lost your show. :/

Thanks so much for commenting. : ) Your show is not one that I've seen - and for the reason you put forward, I just thought it would be too much like SATC (I watched all the SATC episodes).

Set in the 80s, ooh, now that sounds good. Sounds like I missed a really good show. I'll look out for it. It would be interesting to find out what CB's life was like before SATC, Samantha and the rest of the gals. We never did (if I remember correctly) hear much, if anything about her upbringing.

You've given me, and others, a new show. Thank you very much! : )

Great list, I found a few of my favorites there :)

I like a broad range of supernatural stuff but had never found a series with real scary witches until Salem, only 36 episodes in 3 seasons. For me they are witches only like in Ann Rice's books. This is the only serious witches show I have ever watched on TV, loaded with beautiful people too :) hoped Netflix would pick it up but I guess at this time that's just not happening... moved on from the denial stage lol

Staying with scary shows there was Damien, 1 season, 10 episodes. Super scary, particularly if you have watched the movies. If you haven't, watch the movies first and you'll appreciate the series in a very different way. I watched the movies long ago but the inserts from past events in the series felt and looked like the earlier movies.
Once I was flipping channels and I ran into The Listener, a guy that can hear people's thoughts. In the first few seasons he's a paramedic. There are some seasons which are a bit annoying but I was really hooked on the last season with story lines from earlier seasons coming back when it was cancelled :(

In the Killers genre there's Hannibal, it was a very deep delving into the mind of a psychopath and his surroundings very beautifully set as Bryan Fuller's signature usually is. Every single detail and attire have been carefully crafted matched and shot, each episode feels like a movie. Beautiful settings, particularly in season 3 which is also the densest.

Not counting against cancellation but in the category, so sorry it ended :'( is Epitafios, an Argentinian miniseries about Renzo Márquez, a retired police detective in Buenos Aires and a killer with a very poetic and clear purpose. The miniseries was such a hit they filmed a second season which is also very good.

haha I could do with a box set of all my favourites, especially if there are extras!

Yeees, you should definitely watch Dead Like Me, it's so worth it! And also Pushing Daisies. It has a similar theme but dealt with completely different and the 60s style is so much fun to watch. :)

I would add Tatau to this list as well. I am not totally sure if this show can be counted as cancelled but BBC America pulled it from their schedule and in UK it is on hiatus since beginning of 2015. Just as I started getting into the story.
Another show that is more reality show than TV show but good nevertheless and cancelled way too soon is Tabatha's Salon Takeover and Tabatha Takes Over. Loved her attitude!

@chimichanga1234 - Thank you so much for such a lengthy comment, it was a fascinating read - we seem very similar in the shows we like. I love all things supernatural/horror - books, movies, tv (as long as they stay fictional! lol). I don't wanna know about the real ghost stories out there. lol.

That's all of your shows added, with thanks. : ) Someone will come along and find them.

You've convinced me to give Hannibal a try (again). I love the actor but I just wasn't in the right frame of mind for a serial killer show. I've added it to my binge watch list. : ) Another one you've given me is Damien, I watched all the movies, Greogory Peck was amazing but I didn't know how I felt about a tv show. Epitafios sounds interesting, I added it. I do have another list called 'Show, 'Show come back show, I miss you' where anyone can add their shows but that list is feeling a little neglected with only one comment, so I added your show here, instead so that more sidereelers can see it. : )

Thanks to you commenting, me and and probably other sidereelers now have great reviews of each of your three shows to find on our list and possibly watch....yay! But, I am sorry they were cancelled, when there's no resolution it's even worse.

Thank you for contributing, I love our list. Tyvm! Come back if you think of more shows. : )

I've added Pushing Daisies and it's now also on my Binge Watch list. Tyvm for the recommendations! : )

So glad you're enjoying the box sets I sent through that specially made wormhole - by Walter from Fringe, no less - and yes, you'll find extras there, too.

Hi @Karolina Giel. It's only my opinion but almost every time the BBC have a good show fall into their laps they manage to mess it up, like this 'hiatus.' They should just write 'cancelled' or 'deciding' and that would let its loyal fans know what is going on. The hiatus seems due to budget cuts, causing BBC3 in the UK to move online only (I did a search for it as Tatau is a new show, to me - I added it, we can always take it out if the Beeb decide to renew it). : )

They've kept some shows but as it was a cost-saving move, I doubt the return of Tatau will be anytime soon, but that's only my opinion, from searching online. You can check BBCiPlayer for new episodes every now and then. You're probably doing all of this already but it really is awful when a show ends on a cliffhanger and you just don't know if it'll ever come back! : /

I'm so glad you came here and added Tabatha's shows. I stiill haven't had a chance to check them out but they are on my binge list. You make the shows sound really interesting and she sounds like a real character, so I've gotta check them out.

Another first, the Tabatha shows are the first reality tv shows on our list. More please, if anyone has them, that would be great!

Thanks so much @Karolina Giel for coming here to our list and taking the time to add your shows. This is just fantastic!!!! : )

P.S. Adding Tatau put us at 90 shows! For that you also get a huge crate of all your fave tv shows that have been cancelled or ended too soon, all sent by a wormhole found by the characters from Firefly - yep, they're still out there flying around all the universe. : D

I've added Drive, it looks like an interesting show that wasn't given a chance, again cancelled too early. Six episodes this time! Unbelievable. :/

I know, I just can't believe the response to this (once) little list that is now everyone's list. I thought I'd just be sitting here, annoyed that my fave shows had been cancelled. To have so many sidereelers come here and share their shows and stories is just making every trip to sidereel an absolute delight - apart from the fact that we're all sad our shows have ended...obv. :/

We've slowed down in the past 10 days with additions to the list. I don't know whether to be happy or sad as I love chatting with everyone about our shows and seeing them be recognised on sidereel - but no comments perhaps mean fewer shows have been canceled - always a good thing!

Deadwood. OK, so I haven't actually seen any episodes (because I didn't know anything about it until after I had watched Justified and was looking at what else Timothy Olyphant was in and it apparently ended unresolved...) BUT it has an 8.7 rating on IMDB, so it must have been pretty good. And now I see that there is a possible "reunion movie" in the works, so I'm going to try & find it and watch it!

Taxi Brooklyn. Netflix AU added it recently so I'm currently binging on it. It's completely ridiculous (a detective not being able to drive?) but fun! It's based on the movie "Taxi {2004}" with Jimmy Fallon & Queen Latifah (which is a remake of "Taxi" {1998} which was created by Luc Besson, who also created the Transporter movies). So it's no wonder I'm enjoying it so much :-)

This flu has me lagging behind with everything @ sorry Old_Maid for the delay in adding this. *coughs* ugh.

Ooh, I do like myself some Timmy Olyphant and didn't know he was in either show! Tyvm! *blushes* An 8.7 rating is rare, indeed but I remember Deadwood getting rave reviews at the time it was shown. Lemme know how you get on and I'll check it out, always good to have a back up show for a rainy day!

A reunion movie would be great, kinda like they did with Firefly, let's the writers have a chance to finish out the story or at least the story arc, hoping that one day the show will be picked up by someone fantastic!

Enjoy watching Deadwood! Plus, thank you for adding the 99th show to our list. *applause*

Forgot to refresh the page! D'oh, so I've only just seen your new addition @Old_Maid! *blushes again* One of these days
I'll get the hang of this. :D

As well as adding more shows than any other sidereeler so far (*I challenge someone else to try, lol*) you have also added our 100th show!

100 shows!!! Who'd have thought our little list would grow to 100 shows??? *waves arms in the air like Kermit*

Woohooo!!!!! Give it up, sidereelers and FB'rs for @Old_Maid!!! As it's the 100th show added, Old_Maid gets a box set of every TV show and movie she has ever wanted (esp Luc Besson movies) all sent to her through a wormhole created by Spock! Yeah, not just *any* wormhole, a Vulcan wormhole! Hope your gift arrives soon!!!! :D

I'll have a look at Taxi Brooklyn, I always meant to as it has that good actress from Grey's Anatomy (Lexi) and she really did deserve her own show. Sorry to hear it's been canceled but interesting to hear the back story. Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah? Now that's a film I'd watch, all hail Queen L!

I also love Luc Besson movies, The Fifth Element as well as the Transporter movies as well as the Taken trio, to name just a few. I've just finished watching the TV show, Taken, it's pretty easy watching, Brian Mills in a younger version is an interesting concept. I'm really hoping it'll be renewed for a second season.

Old_Maid and everyone who added a show, got us to 100 shows, thank you all for taking your valuable TV watching time and using it to add shows here. I appreciate each and every single comment and show added. Hopefully, we'll all find some new show(s), here, that'll make our eyes even more square than they already are!!! lol :D

lolol - I never imagined when I started what I thought would be a little list with just my own much-missed shows on it, that one day it would reach 100 shows and 80 comments with sidereeler's contributing their time and opinions. It totally makes my sidereel day to come here and see another comment. *smiles and waves at everyone*

Your comment is very kind @TelevisionFanboy but it's not me that's created this wonderful list, it's everyone (including yourself) who has contributed a show, a comment or upvoted and made this list up to 100 shows (hopefully, that's just so far). *crosses fingers*

Definitely nothing to do with me, I just thought there might be need for a place where we could gather and put our shows that we miss. I am constantly thrilled with every single comment, even though, as I've said before, it's bittersweet - we're adding them because they've been canceled. Not good. Still, we get to find *new* shows that we can go into knowing they were canceled and with great recommendations, so again, my sincere thanks to all the amazing sidereeler's who have individually contributed to our list! : )

We've also reached 15 upvotes on the list. Amazing! I am just astonished, so thank you to everyone for your votes. Hopefully, more people will see the list as we continue on - that cancellation monster just ain't going anywhere, unfortunately... :/

Re: Powerless. I am so reluctant to start any new shows because of the cancellations, so I have yet to see it. Shows should be given time to develop and make mistakes, then correct them. I think in the news section of sidereel (is there a better news section for TV on any other website? Nope!) T.J. made it pretty clear that it's probably not coming back. I bow to sidereel's Lead Editor's expert eye on all things TV, so if it's been pulled we can cross our fingers and hope it's for rewriting or read T.J.'s comment and wait for the official news to confirm. :/

Whatever show(s) you think of, as always, TVFanboy, feel welcome to add them here. You're always welcome! : )

@Old_Maid. That is the sweetest poem, thank you so much. I am beaming from ear to ear - you have definitely cheered me up on a rotten day of coughing and feeling yukky. TYVM!!!! *hugs, hugs hugs*

American Gothic - "There's somebody at the door, there's somebody at the door." A young Sarah Paulson, a younger Lucas Black, the never-aging (imo) Gary Cole. One of my most favorite horror shows is our 101th/st show! Yay! Thank you so much! That creeping unease, Cole as the most sinister Sheriff anyone could ever dread to meet. Great TV! I'd forgotten it only ran for one season even though I've re-watched it several times, since. Time for a re-watch, methinks.

It's great to have a show from the 90s on the list, it just illustrates that we never forget the shows we've enjoyed. Especially the canceled ones, there's just no closure, only daydreams that everything worked out well for some characters and not so well for others!

Hey, don't worry about not adding shows, I'm thrilled if someone takes the time to add one! That said, It's always so great to see you here whenever you have a show, although it is bittersweet, we get to chat but also - another show has ended. not good.

Thinking of adding in my (rarely used) twitter account to sidereel so some of us (anyone who wants to) can chat away about shows, etc. I need to get rid of this never-ending flu, first but should have the cobwebs brushed off it some time this week. Stay tuned! : D

No participation necessary on twitter, y'all. Just putting it out there. :D

Hi @Old_Maid! Unfortunately, I'm just back after a few days as this yukky flu virus just isn't leaving. ugh. I wrote your little ditty on a post-it on the corkboard pinboard in my home office to remind me to laugh through the coughing! : ) Thank you so much for your well wishes, hugs to you! : )

Back to business. Aww, no. Not Emerald City! I hadn't started watching it, yet. Simply because I'm so ticked off about shows being cancelled. I'll add it in right now. :/ Thanks for letting us all know. ♥

Hey there, @chimichanga1239! as I just said to @Old_Maid, still coughing and wheezing, eww!!! :D

I was *so* looking forward to Frequency. I loved the movie, yes it had flaws but I still loved it and enjoy re-watching every now and then. So, the show was a big deal to me, such a big deal that I didn't start watching until about two weeks' ago (I was hoping for renewal). I've still got the rest of the 4th episode to finish but now it's with a heavy heart as I really liked it (I know I've only seen a little but I liked the atmostphere). I think, had they put bigger name actors into the show it might have had a higher profile and had a wider audience. I mean, it wasn't tremendous TV (The Handmaid's Tale, etc.) but there's a massive amount of TV out there that's just awful and deserving of cancellation. I don't think this show was, even though, like yourself, I kinda felt the cancellation monster looming even as I watched. :/

Added, sadly. Thanks for stopping by and letting us all know! *hugs*

Can't believe they ended Rosewood with a cliffhanger (lol that's my biggest pet peeve... when shows end on cliffhangers). I have a list called "Gone Too Soon" and while a lot of them are already on this list, there are some others I'd like to add. Forgive any duplicates I may accidentally mention.

These all only had one season:
Backstrom
Battle Creek
Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior (another cliffhanger)
Do No Harm (also a cliffhanger... IDK why people hated this show. I loved it!)
Doubt (another one of Steven Pasquale's shows to get pulled, like Do No Harm. I feel it wasn't given a chance.)
The Finder (a Bones spin-off)
Grandfathered
Heartbeat
John Doe (loved loved LOVED this. Dominic Purcell is all I need to say. Also ended on a cliffhanger)
Limitless (everyone was shocked last year that it only had one season)
Minority Report (I actually quite enjoyed it, especially since I'd seen the movie. Also Nick Zano and Stark Sands! Yes!)
Nine Lives of Chloe King (also ended on a cliffhanger)
The Player (cliffhangers... so much unfinished business)
Second Chance (although I'm not sure where they could have gone after the way the first season ended...)
Those Who Kill (cliffhanger! again!)
Three Rivers (Alex O'Loughlin had a rough time on CBS before landing Hawaii Five O)
The Tomorrow People (Also ended on a partial cliffhanger. At least I still get to see Peyton List, Luke Mitchell, and Robbie Amell on other shows... although Frequency just got cancelled, so here's hoping Peyton List comes back on the Flash again or gets a new show)

And some of my favorites that had multiple seasons (but wished they kept going):
Body of Proof
Chuck (that ending.... ugh)
CSI:Cyber
Kyle XY (why did a show like that end on a cliffhanger!?!)
Pushing Daisies (that dang writers strike...)
Reaper (this actually had a good ending, but i still miss it)

Maybe I should make a list devoted to bad cliffhangers..... There's plenty of shows unfortunately!

Hi scotwot, hope you're feeling much better.
I'm back with 4, yes 4 more cancellations....
1, The Catch - 2 seasons, 20 episodes. I've only watched season 1 but never got into it, characters seemed shallow, particularly male characters. It seemed to be another sisterhood for Shonda Rhimes, won't miss this one, but will watch the second season later.
2. American Crime - 3 seasons, 29 episodes. This was a tough series to watch, at times boring but it covered a huge range of emotions and complications. Have only watched the first 2 seasons.

The next two are in my list to watch later so not a clue how they are:
3. Imaginary Mary - 1 season, 8 episodes (so far but already cancelled)
4. Conviction - 1 season, 13 episodes
3.

@Elise Favia - wow! Thank you so much for taking the time to come back and add some more of your shows here! There's more than a few I didn't know had ended. I'll answer some more comments then add in your shows as fast as I can. Doesn't matter if there are any duplicates, that's totally cool. : )

Rosewood, so many people are broken up about the unfinished ending. No show with such a devoted following should ever, ever be allowed to finish on a cliffhanger. It's just all about saving money. Not good.

Wow, you SHOULD make a list devoted to shows with cliffhanger endings! If you really want to, I'll publicize it as much as I can here on this list. So many of us have shows that just ended with a horrible cliffhanger that has left us in limbo, forever! I call dibs on The Blacklist: Redemption, lolol. :D

Seriously, about your shows, I'll get them all added in quickfast. So sorry that you lost so many shows that you enjoyed/loved. Never a good feeling and it never gets easier. :/

@Elise Favia - that's all of your shows added. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and in depth comments beside each of the titles, they will really help all of us who view the list to consider whether or not to begin and/or continue with the shows. : )

As you say, at least we can see the actors in other shows. It's a small comfort but hopefully they can make their way onto a show that lasts the distance - and doesn't end with a cliffhanger!

As well as adding them here, I added the shows from the very bottom of your comment to a list I have for shows that have ended but with a conclusion. The list is called, "Show, Show, come back, Show! I miss our weekly episodes together... add your own to the list. : ) " - I've neglected it of late as this list has seemed to hit a nerve, especially now in cancellation season.

I'll reply to all the other comments on Sunday! : )

So, they've cancelled Ransom :-( though I could see that coming. It was my "I can't get to sleep" show for the 13 weeks it was on. No, it did not get the heart racing with it's non-stop action, nor did it blow your mind with any "OMG, I DID NOT see that coming!" moments, but still, it was way better than some of the other stuff on TV...

@Elise Favia = *fanfare* for making your 'Cliffhangers, Beware' list - *round of applause.* That is a great list of shows you have already!

I'm behind on everything sidereel and racing out the door any second now, but I have left a comment on your fabulous new list and will publicize it every chance I get. I bet you'll have the comments stacking up every single day! Great news that you've started it!

Everyone must be missing at least a few shows that ended on a cliffhanger. Feel free to take from this list any shows that you know of, I'm sure all sidereeler's on this list will be happy to have their shows featured on your list, and to comment on it. I'll add more to it as my scatterbrained head remembers them. A quick look through my tracker should give me at least 20 to start with!

@Old_Maid - Jinx? Never! What @Asleom said plus, you're more like a lucky charm as you have given so many shows to our list. :) : ) : )

@Asleom, I know, I've been watching older shows, from this list, over the summer, when I've had some concentration, and I just cannot understand why they've been canceled. Weird, indeed! I think it all just comes down to money, networks don't end a show well as it'll cost $300,000 for a final episode to be shot. #ugh Or it doesn't make enough money in the first three eps so let's just cancel it. All that plus ratings make me want to urp. :P

I'll add in your shows, tomorrow, :chimichanga (hi!) and Old_Maid.

@JJane007 (very cool name, btw) - that's Hooten and the Lady added! You just gave me a new show, it looks great! Tracking and added it to my binge watch list. Tyvm! : )

@Karolina Giel - that's Outsourced added, with all of our thanks. : ) It's great to have older shows added so we all know what we're getting ourselves into. Tyvm! : )

I'm totally with you re: watching Pilots. I'm writing Fall Premiere articles right now and with each new show that's a Pilot, all I can think is, 'Will it last? When will it be canceled? Will I be upset as I've started watching it and they cancel it after 10 episodes?' I just don't really know what to do about it all. There are so many of my long-standing favorite shows that returned last week and are coming back this week but even they're not safe. So, do we wait and see if they get renewed or just jump in and enjoy them while they air? I have no answer for that dilemma. :/

@chimichanga1239 - I'm a space geek, too. I think we're accustomed to scifi shows that don't quite hit it out of the ballpark but are still entertaining. It seems to come with the genre. I'm sorry your show didn't last, tho. Drat! That's it added, tho.

Plus, thanks for the welcome back, it's great to hear that the uproar about Sense8 actually got them to recognise us viewers and what we want! Victory for the cancellation warriors! I've been waiting to binge watch the show, in it's entirety, so this is really good news and we don't get too much of that on our list. Tyvm! : )

Re: the above two comments. We just posted in the exact same minute about the same show @Elise Favia!

It would be funny if it wasn't one of your fave summer shows that's been canceled and without a proper ending! ugh! The Night Shift looked really good. :/

Hopefully, someone will pick it up, *crosses fingers* or else it'll be part of your 'Cliffhangers, Beware list' (and if you haven't checked out Elise Favia's Cliffhangers list then you really should). Crimes have been committed against TV shows and us viewers! Grrr...

I've added it in, for now, hopefully, like Ransom and Sense8, I'll be able to remove it.

I'm still writing the premiere articles each week and with each new show I'm still thinking as I write, "How long before it gets the chop?" Not good. Just wait till the March cull comes around and we'll all be infuriated and let down.

Again, @Elise, I'm really sorry about your show. :/

Hi @Aida! Well, even though The Night Shift has been canceled that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the four seasons of the show that did air, unless you hate shows that are open-ended. I know quite a few of us here at this list will still watch a show, even though we know it perhaps didn't end the way we wished it had.

Have you seen Friday Night Lights? It's a fantastic TV show, I am not in the least bit interested in American Football but the characters are amazing and this fast became one of my top five shows.

If you prefer medical dramas, Saving Grace is good. It has ended but I enjoyed all the seasons - that said, I haven't seen the last one. As you said, I'm waiting for a time when I'm bored and want something easy to watch.

I hope I was of some help?

Hi @Will Reynolds. My apologies for the late reply, it's been one of those week's! Thanks for your shows, although I'm sorry they were canceled. Hopefully with good endings? That's them added to the list and if you can think of any more then please let us all know!

Nice to meet you! : )

I liked 2 Broke Girls way so much! Will miss them a lot.

I wonder if they did not renew it to use its time slot for Young Sheldon?

@Asleom - I always meant to watch Mike and Molly - and will catch up with it one day. Same goes for 2 Broke Girls. As I said to @Will Reynolds, I'm really sorry you lost your show and I hope it ended well.

Seriously? That would be awful. I'm not a fan of shows like Young Sheldon (I just don't like that many comedies) and only know of it because I'm writing the premiere articles each week.

Of course, TV Execs can never think outside the box and give a show a different time/day, can they? Leaving the established shows in their allotted place always seems to be the best idea, or else the audience forgets about it or can't find it. IDK, but losing a show just to put a new one in that's a spin-off (does spin-off really equal 'Hit?)' is about as cynical as it gets.

Sorry, really. :/

Thank you @Scotwot! :D

I can't be sure, to be honest. I guessed the time slot was at least part of the reason from one of the articles linked here.

I totally agree with you on the TV Execs. They hope/think Young Sheldon will automatically inherit the Hit status of The Big Bang Theory, without costing as much.

@Asleom, oh gosh, thank you very much! *smiles* Thankfully, it's calming down, now. I think I was in a TV frenzy the week I had to write about forty shows and five were from a genre I just never watch. I had my head in my hands, lolol. :D That said, I'm going to start watching one of those five shows as it seems to have a great plotline.

99% of the time, it's been fantastic to find shows that are completely out of my comfort zone (my tracker is nearly full), so that's a real upside. The downside is trying to find time to watch them - every single sidereeler who reads this is nodding. :D

When I'm researching the shows, I do still keep thinking. 'When's the cancellation going to come through...' so I haven't started that many of the Pilots. The cull of 2016 just put me off watching new shows so much because we get ten episodes in, everyone seems to be enjoying it, and then they pull the plug. ugh. Sorry, you've heard me rant on and on and on (lol) about all of this before. : )

This is what I was going to say in reply to your message about Young Sheldon. It really is the complete opposite of how and why TV shows should be created, kept alive and scheduled. Call me naive but I like to think of the old days when a show could have a not-that-great season yet still be kept alive long enough to get back on track. Even shows that do have great seasons are just taken off air, probably because the CEO of the network just doesn't 'get it.' I remember one show, a couple of decades ago that was immediately taken off air by the CEO of the BBC because he hated the genre. Yikes! Never mind about all of us at home who all loved and missed the show so much!

It's naive of me to say that cost should never come into whether a show is kept alive, when it's scheduled or even made at all, but in a perfect sidereel world...

Enjoy the weekend! ♥

Ranting is good too, good point!

Thank you very much, you too!

@scotwot & @Aida I have watched all Saving Grace seasons and I concur, it's a great show, or rather was a great show. It was bittersweet watching last season as we were aware it was the last one, but the series did have a finale so we were not left wondering on cliffhangers.... but I will still miss it as I'm not aware of another show like it (mix of medical & supernatural).

I am gonna b honest: There wasn't an ending for 2 Broke Girls. It didn't answer what happened to Max and Randy. We don't kno what happened to the cupcake shop nor do we kno what would have happened if the girls would have gotten to the money goal they were looking to get to. They said it was something with the production company and CBS which is sad cuz I thought it was a really good show.
