I rarely meet a show I don't track... :D I have lists galore as I love all genres of tv, but, hey, it means I never run out of shows! I've found even more shows to watch through some amazing sidereelers' lists! Starting conversations with lists is one of my favorite things about sidereel. I love how we can all love or hate a show yet still have a friendly chat. You'll find me dashing around the site, leaving friendly comments on reviews, shows, lists and articles. <3

The Handmaid's Tale

“It’s not only a feminist story, it’s also a human story.” Margaret Atwood, 2017 Think this can't happen? Just watch. What's extraordinary and horrifying is how current its issues are to all of us. THT pulls no punches - or slaps (Atwood cameo).Exposition is done brilliantly in the form of Elisabeth Moss' flashbacks and narration. Heard and seen only by the viewer, her thoughts help us understand what is happening, has happened and how. I'm only just at the start of episode two but this is an extraordinary show, one that will stay in my mind for a very long time. As has the book.

Wow! Fabulous, binge watched this and loved every single second. So many '80s pop culture references, E.T, Firestarter, Stand by Me. If you, like me, grew up in the 80s, this is a must see! Next season, please, Netflix! :)

Really enjoy it, a new take on the police procedural. The tattoos themselves are a spectacularly original plot twist, as is the main character's - well, no spoiler's. Watch and see, you might like it! :)

Mindhunter is extraordinary, I'm hooked! This is my new favorite show. Yes it's dark but the two lead actors have such great chemistry and that does cause some funny moments. Anna Torv is amazing as their go-to psych advisor. I love how psychological the show is. The acting, pace, plotting, conflicts and setting are perfect.

Politics, sc-fi, satirical comedy, family tensions, what more could we ask for! It's so much fun. It's so current that I wonder if it's a docudrama masquerading as fiction!* :D This should be syndicated to every country in the world so their citizens can collectively say, "That's what been going on with our politicians!" May this show never be cancelled.

It's not realistic but it's not meant to be, it's summer fun that I'm enjoying watching. A good first episode.. Fun, daftness, drama and secrets with a bit of humor thrown in. It may have flaws but it also has high production values and sincere acting combined with pretty good writing that does exposition not that badly. The pilot is just setting up the season and introducing characters = the usual pilot. If you liked the movie The Recruit then you'll see a couple similarities in the pilot. don't know if I should be diving into this in the first ep as it may not make renewal but hey, living on the edge, eh??? ;D

Wow!!! Loved this. Chris Cooper is great, I'm not a fan of Franco but he's really good. I read the book when it came out and from this first episode it seems the tv show is going to be just as riveting. I know the book looks like a doorstop but it's a great read, only King could come up with such a fabulous premise for a novel and then have it be turned into a tv show. As he said, a 3-4 hour movie just couldn't have covered everything in the book so a series was the obvious choice (I'm paraphrasing). LOVE seeing the 1950s, well up when I see (an actor) Kennedy giving a speech, it's so authentic. Give it a try... :)

Really lives up to the title.

Michael Weathely! *swoon* I so wanted him to have his own show, a GREAT show, something where he could really show off his leading man chops. Instead, he chose to do a show *very*loosely based on the life of Dr Phil (who also contributed to the writing). I can only assume most parts are ficionalized as Weatherly's character is 'irresistible to women.' "Phil, honey, let's get real, how's that mindset working for ya?"

Plus it's a despicable* profession. Doing a mock trial for rich people or corporations to discover which jurors should be picked, then using the jurors to decide how the defence lawyer, expert witnesses and the accused should speak, wear, appear in court all just sucks. It betrays everything the scales of justice stand for, just because the richest people in society - with whom I have no beef, except when they pull this should-be-illegal BULL (see what I just did there...? ;) ) - then the scales of justice are no longer even. Ever wondered why rich people always, always, always get off with their charges? This show will tell you how, oh, and of course, let's not forget, how alluring the lead character is, loosely based on Dr Phil...ugh. I hate myself even more because I love MW so much I'm gonna watch the first ten minutes, crying at what he has done to himself. Okay, rant over...but really!

*despicable - said in the voice of Daffy Duck - I may be ranting but I still have a sense of humor. :D

I am late to the party but catching up and having so much fun! Tina Fey is a genius writer and actor and Alec Baldwin, well. It's all perfect, I love it!
