i have read all the books and i actually enjoyed the movie the Golden Compass and was dissapointed when "they" didnt do the rest of the books. HBO is great seems to have given all that was needed to ensure the transtion to television went smoothly. Great pilot! i cant wait to see the rest!
Tried to give this show a chance as i do enjoy the original even though its time for it to tap out. Seeing as theyre working in foreign countries more needs to be done to convince me that theyre there. in the first episode they went from speaking to one Thai cop as he was fluent in english then next thing you know theyre delvering a profile to the entire station with no translator. good concept poorly executed. unsure if i want to waste time and give it another try...
You know as much as I originally liked the idea of this show, I found it extremely difficult to finish. so much so that Season Two is about to start next week and i still have about 4 episodes left to watch from the first season. lol i find myself asking myself , "Why am i even watching this?" and "What is the point?" also " all these episodes later and still nothing???" and thats usually before the half way point in just about every episode ive watched. i continued to tune(stream**) in because i like Simone Missick but this show honestly falls flat for me and is a little too slow paced as i find myself not caring for the characters and the attempts to further delvelop them. maybe if the second season does well i will come back to finish watching
totally fell in love with this show from the first episode.love the originality of the werewolf change.first season was a win. the second season also was a win for me starting out strong captivating me till about the last two episodes... the show took a turn that made it hard to want to follow. i feel like they made a big jump and have a hell of alot of explaining to do in the third season especially since its their final season
