TV ratings: '2 Broke Girls' and 'The Voice' lead Monday as American Country Awards stumble

Fast National ratings for Monday, Dec. 10, 2012CBS had a good night Monday as its lineup, led by a pair of "2 Broke Girls" episodes, was up across the board. "The Voice," which scaled back to one hour this week, was up a tick over its 8 o'clock numbers last week as well. That didn't translate to great ratings for the premiere of game show "Take It All," however.Elsewhere, the American Country Awards fell sharply from last year's show, losing more than 2 million viewers. "Gossip Girl" hit a season high for The CW.CBS currently stands at 10.6 million viewers and a 6.6 rating/10 share in households for the night. Those numbers may come down a bit in the final nationals because the network's Houston affiliate carried a highly rated "Monday Night Football" game. NBC (8.4 million, 5.1/8) came in second. ABC (whose Boston station also ran the "MNF" contest) was third at 5.6 million... //

'2 Broke Girls' Whitney Cummings: 'We don't have to make a lot of compromises'

Zap2it: Do you clash much with network censors over either "2 Broke Girls" or "Whitney"?Whitney Cummings: With "2 Broke Girls," we don't have to make a lot of compromises over there. I don't think the show runner, Michael Patrick King, is having to change much. [With "Whitney"], that's a relationship show about these two people; it's not a stand-up act or a roast. I challenge myself every day to take out edgier jokes on that show, because that's just not how I would really talk to my boyfriend. It would feel false, like, "Oh, look, Whitney's doing her stand-up!" Zap2it: What made you pick Julian McCullough to be your "Love You, Mean It" sidekick?Whitney Cummings: I wanted to make sure that whoever I had as a sidekick would feel comfortable making fun of me and not be scared because I was, like, the boss. So I went out with Julian one night wearing these really... //

Fast National ratings for Monday, Nov. 26, 2012A weak matchup on "Monday Night Football" may have been a boon to the broadcast networks, as four of the five nets improved on their ratings from last week. TV ratings: NFL dominates Thanksgiving night while 'X Factor' and 'Glee' do OK

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012The New England Patriots' blowout of the New York Jets dominated the Thanksgiving prime-time ratings for NBC. FOX's afternoon NFL game also bled into primetime, which helped "The X Factor" to decent numbers as well. A new "Glee," which started at 9:17 p.m. ET, dropped off some, but considering the overall low level of viewing Thursday, it did OK. Elsewhere, ABC's "Michael Jackson: Bad25" special turned in smaller ratings than a Lady Gaga special on Thanksgiving night last year.NBC easily led the night with 15.9 million viewers and an 8.5 rating/16 share in households. FOX (9.4 million, 4.9/9) came in second, topping CBS' 6.8 million viewers and 4.3/8.
