TV ratings: 'Once Upon a Time,' 'The Good Wife' and 'Family Guy' all open down Sunday

Fast National ratings for Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013With a big finale and a number of premieres on cable, Sunday's slate of broadcast-network premieres fell well short of the benchmark they set a year ago."Sunday Night Football" once again carried NBC to an easy win for the night, but for just about every other show, the numbers were down compared to this time a year ago. ABC's "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge" both dropped by double-digit percentages in adults 18-49, and "Betrayal" opened well below where "666 Park Avenue" did last year. ("OUAT" and "Revenge" at least improved on their averages from last spring.) CBS' "The Amazing Race," "The Good Wife" and "The Mentalist" were all down, as were "Family Guy" and the rest of FOX's animated shows.(Numbers for the finale of "Breaking Bad," which likely had a sizable effect on the 9 p.m. shows, and premieres on Showtime and HBO will be available later... //

'American Dad' lands Kim Kardashian guesting as a furry alien

Just in case her voice is the thing you love most about Kim Kardashian, she's headed to the cartoon world. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star will pop up on an upcoming episode of "American Dad," in which she'll play a love interest for the family's alien member, Roger.The news comes from Entertainment Weekly, who says Kim will playa furry alien who falls for Roger after her ship crash-lands. It sounds like Kardashian is only around for one episode, so the whirlwind romance probably won't last too long.Other celebrities that will lend their voices to "American Dad's" upcoming season include Olivia Wilde, Stanley Tucci, Zooey Deschanel and Alison Brie. Comic-Con 2013: 'American Dad' Season 10 guest stars include Zooey Deschanel, Alison Brie and Mariah Carey

Following the "Family Guy" panel in San Diego Comic-Con's Ballroom 20 executive producer and showrunner Steve Callaghan retook the stage for the "American Dad" panel.Gallaghan also serves as executive producer and showrunner on "American Dad," and he was joined by co-creator and executive producer Mike Barker, writer and story editor Jordan Bloom, and actors Wendy Schaal (Francine Smith), Rachael MacFarlane (Hayley Smith), Scott Grimes (Steve Smith), and Dee Bradley Baker (Klaus). As in the "Family Guy" panel, series creator Seth MacFarlane's presence was missed, but the cast and producers that were on-hand did their best to make up for it.The panel began with numerous clips from the upcoming Season 10, including scenes in which Roger (MacFarlane) opens a daycare, Francine shows off her "No Regerts" tattoo, Stan flees the authorities, Steve names his sex clone after his grandmother, and various characters make poop jokes.Barker kicked off the discussion by addressing the show's impending move to TBS... //

American Dad Moves To Cable For Season 11! New Episodes To Air On TBS Next Year!

American Dad bids farewell to FOX! Fans of American dad can rejoice because the animated sitcom, which was recently cancelled by FOX, has found a new home on TBS! According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show will finish up its 10th season on FOX and will head over to TBS for its 11th season in 2014. Head of Programming, Michael Wright, praised the show saying "American Dad is a great fit for TBS, a favorite of comedy fans who like smart, irreverent humor with ample doses of biting wit and skewering satire." Turner plans to air new episodes of the comedy on TBS late next year, while airing encores on its sister network, Adult Swim. So will you be tuning in to see Season 11 of American Dad on TBS? FOX fall TV 2013 premiere dates: 'New Girl' Season 3, 'Bones' Season 9 and more start a little early

FOX has announced premiere dates for its fall schedule, and as usual the network will launch its series both earlier and later than the other networks.Four nights of programming and shows including "Bones," "Glee," "New Girl" and "The X Factor" will premiere before the official start of the 2013-14 season on Sept. 23. That will help those shows get a decent run of episodes in before postseason baseball puts them on the shelf for a while in October. The network is also saving a few of its premieres for after the World Series. Futuristic cop show "Almost Human" won't debut until Nov. 4, and comedies "Raising Hope" and "Enlisted" are set for Nov. 8.
