America’s Got Talent: Semifinals End. Eleven More Acts Perform.

The competition heats up once again on America’s Got Talent. Eleven more acts fight more a spot in the finals. I asked this before, and I’ll ask again: Can these remaining acts step up their game and give a 110%? Young singer Celine Tam kicked things off with her rendition of How Far I’ll Go from the Disney animated film Moana. I applaud her song choice, but it came across as something that doesn’t quite showcase her voice. Mel B even said that the song was too overpowering for her. Had she chosen a more suitable song, then perhaps her performance would’ve been a lot better. Sherlock 2.0 (yes, that’s what I’m calling him) Colin Cloud blew everyone’s minds with his amazing prediction. The man used Twitter as part of his act, asking users to send him tweets of names of celebrities, places, and things. When the big reveal came, my jaw dropped. Cloud accurately predicted that the judges would choose a tweet that had the words "Ellen, Rome, cheese." He even went undercover and interacted with the judges as they gave interviews and prepped for the show. If he doesn’t get voted to the finals, then something is very wrong with America. America’s Got Talent Recap 9/13/17: Season 12 Episode 22 “Semi Finals Results 2”

The Finales are almost here! However, not everyone was going to be moving on to the Finales and so tonight there were even more eliminations. The contestants were eliminated based on their performances from the night before and, so in most cases, the audience had already decide who would go and who would except the Dunkin’ Save was the Wild Card. The Dunkin’ Save allowed the audience to save one person out of three and tonight’s competing trio were Colin Cloud, the group Diavolo, and Kechi Okwuchi. Kechi had wowed the audience as well as the judges with her performance of "Don’t Worry About Me" by Frances however she found herself easily as vulnerable as Colin. Now Collin was more than a mere magician. He had an understanding of the human mind that was simply unfathomable to anyone that’s never seen him in action. So it made no sense why Colin, Kechi, or for that matter Diavolo would be up for elimination yet the audience had until end of this recap to vote. Voting is what kept people around and so vote while you can! Meanwhile, as voting was underway, Tyra went through the list and started to say goodbye to some of the contestants that didn’t get a second chance. So the first group Tyra announced was up for elimination was Christian Guardino, Merrick Hanna, and Angelica Hale. The group was comprised of a lot of young talent and so technically the audience was aware that any one of the three could easily come back next year. Though the winner out of three proved to be the youngest – Angelica Hale. READ MORE...

America’s Got Talent Recap 9/12/17: Season 12 Episode 21 “Semi Finals 2”

In the semi-finals tonight we will see 11 acts perform but only five will move on to the finals. Celine Tam is an eleven-year-old singer and she dreams of being a star on day. Heidi and most of the audience is on their feet before Celine finishes her song. Simon starts by offering well wishes to the victims of the recent hurricanes. He then tells Celine this performance was her best yet. Mel disagreed and thought this was not the right song choice for Celine. Heidi and Howie felt the same as Simon. They loved the performance and they love Celine. Colin Cloud is the next act to take the stage. He does a trick using tweets that were received earlier by the show. People at home were asked to pick a city, a celebrity and a food. Colin is able to predict that they will choose Ellen, Rome and Cheese. He filmed segments earlier in the day that showed that they would in fact pick Ellen, Rome and Cheese. All of the judges were blown away by Colin’s magic and hope America votes to keep Colin in the competition. READ MORE...

America’s Got Talent Recap 9/6/17: Season 12 Episode 20 “Live Results 4”

Unfortunately, most of tonight’s results were based off what happened during previous performances and how well they did on Tuesday. Which leaves tonight pretty much a forgone conclusion. But there was something of a reprieve on tonight’s episode. There was one last chance to save one out of three up for elimination with a Dunkin’ Save. The Dunkin’ Save brought to us by Dunkin’ Donuts, allowed one special someone to move on to the semi-finals and it was again a choice for the audiences at home. So there was a chance for some at home to call at any point of time before the end of the recap to save either of these three: Chase Goehring, Eric Jones, and Evie Clair! All three had had great performances on Tuesday and were even considered fan favorites. Yet, things could change very fast depending on who has support and who doesn’t. So remember those three names and at least try to pick one because several have already gone home. Jonny Manuel for example, had chosen to sing an original song and had certainly gotten some flak for that though no one had expected that in a choice between him and Yoli Mayor that both would end up going home. And so Tyra had honestly had to ask Simon for some help. READ MORE...
