‘America’s Got Talent,’ Week 15, Night 1: TV Recap

After last week’s performances completed the show’s semifinal stage, "America’s Got Talent" moved on this week to showcase the final ten acts to compete for its $1 million prize. Because previous weeks featured twelve auditioning contestants, however, the show opened with footage of a celebration held in the finalists’ honor, and followed the segment with a performance by previous winner Michael Grimm. After a commercial break, Miami All-Stars opened the finalist performances with a high-spirited routine set to a dance version of Will Smith’s "Miami." Despite their celebration of their hometown via football uniforms, only judge Howie Mandel correctly observed that their performance offered a slick bit of network synergy as the football season starts on NBC on Thursday. Judges Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan were largely unimpressed, Morgan characterizing their routine as disappointingly "cheerleadery." America's Got Talent Recap: Top 10 Perform

Silhouettes, Poplyfe, Landau and Team iLuminate should advance on America's Got Talent . Following last night's performance show, where 10 acts took to the stage and hoped to advance to the final four, the above performers most definitely raised the bar higher than anyone else. //www.tvfanatic.com/2011/09/americas-got-talent-recap-top-10-perform/

The Top 10 Take Risks on 'America's Got Talent'

America's Got Talent just got serious! It's finally down to Season 6's Top 10 and what I consider the best show of the whole season. It's not too drawn out, and we get to see the best ten acts of the whole season. No more stalling, this is pretty much it. Okay, a little more stalling. The Top 10 acts had to hang out with the judges for a while in this weird segment. Why do we have to watch this? This show would be so much better without so much judge involvement. At least we got to see what Michael Grimm has been up to (touring with Stevie Nicks) since he won Season 5. Turns out the guy is still wearing hats. Expensive hats. //www.buddytv.com/articles/americas-got-talent/the-top-10-take-risks-on-ameri-41726.aspx

'America's Got Talent' Top 10: Team iLuminate, Landon Swank kill it

Here we are, gang. Time for the Top 10 of Season 6 on "America's Got Talent." Who's going to bring it and who's going to choke? Let's find out.1. Miami All StarsTonight they've gone with a football theme. Hmm. It made them feel more like a football halftime performance than a ballroom dancing troupe. It was still good and there was still all the tricks we're used to, but it just felt ... off. The drummers and basket tosses and the silly mascot didn't work for me. I 'm not sure totally how to describe it, but I think Miami All Stars just blew it from advancing to the Top 5 (not that I thought they were one of the favorites anyway). I agree with Piers that it became a cheerleading act.2. Lys AgnesOh wow, Lys' mom is super pretty, love the old picture of her. In her package when she says she's going "nontraditional,"... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/09/americas-got-talent-team-iluminate-landon-swank-kill-it.html
