Interview: Ann Ward Spills on How She Turned Her Awkwardness Into An Asset - Wetpaint

We've seen some unique people grace the halls of Tyra's School of High Fashion Modeling over the 15 cycles of America's Next Top Model, but we haven't ever seen a winner quite like Ann Ward. The 6'2'' Dallas native was an instant fan favorite on a cycle that was all about being "editorial." From the minute Miss Jay emphasized just how tiny her waist was to when she spilled just how tough it was growing up as the tall, awkward girl, we knew who to root for this season. It came down to photos vs. personality (Ann vs. Chelsey), and thankfully, photos won because it is a modeling competition. We had the pleasure of chatting with Ann about keeping her big win a secret for four whole months and how she was even taller than her third grade teacher. To Read More Click Here.

Chelsey: No Regrets About Saying She Should Have Won Top Model - Wetpaint

It was a cycle to remember. The stakes were higher than ever before, boasting an Italian Vogue spread, a cover of Beauty in Vogue, and a contract with IMG Models. One model of the bunch had been reading Vogue from inside the womb, and that bleached blonde, bright-eyed 23-year-old was Chelsey Hersley. We thought she would go all Tanya Harding on her competition when it came down to just her and Ann Ward (The Model With No Waist), but instead, she stomped the Cavalli runway too fast and Ann took home the Top Model title with little shock value. Chelsey, sadly, did not have much of a chance up against fan (and judge) favorite, Ann. We chatted with Chelsey about how she managed her disappointment after losing and why she doesn't regret saying Ann didn't deserve to win. To Read More  Click Here.

'America's Next Top Model': Ann takes home Cycle 15 crown and coveted spread

What's more satisfying than watching Tyra Banks awkwardly embrace your rural American family? Winning "America's Next Top Model," perhaps. It's a tough call for Ann, the very skinny, 19-year-old Texan who cried tears of joy and nerves all the way through the Cycle 15 finale before ultimately taking home this season's bonus-sized trophy... a spread in Vogue Italia. Easily the competition's most high-fashion prize to date, both Ann and runner-up Chelsey  wanted it badly. And for a while, it seemed like either could bring it home. Ann, who's wowed the judges all season with her photo shoots, didn't nail the CoverGirl challenge or look as confident as Chelsey out there on the runway. Chelsey seemed confident this would all work to her advantage, and she was suitably shocked when she didn't win. But that's usually the case with the fashion-obsessed contestant who loses out to the natural talent. So what do you think -- will you be paying the grossly-inflated cost for Ann's appearance in the imported fashion mag? Source Here

'America's Next Top Model's' Chelsey Hersley: 'Ann took better pictures than I did'

Imagine watching the finale of "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 15 with the two finalists in the same room? Zap2it did just that at The CW's finale viewing party. There were a lot of giggles from the two contestants during the screening and then some tears when we watched the winner get announced. Afterward, we spoke to runner-up, Chelsey Hersley, about what it was like to watch Ann Ward take the prize again. "It was kind of hard reliving the moment again," Chelsey, 22, told us. "I was surprisingly more calm than I thought I would be watching it. It was a lot harder the first time." The entire finale seemed like a close race. So when Ann was named the winner, Chelsey looked pretty blindsided. Since the finale's taping, she says she has been able to work through her disappointment. To Read More Click Here.

'America's Next Top Model' winner Ann Ward: 'Different is beautiful'

At The CW's viewing party for the "America's Next Top Model" finale, Zap2it had the rare opportunity of watching alongside the two finalists. Afterward, we spoke to Dallas native and Cycle 15's high fashion winner, Ann Ward, about what it was like to relive the experience. "I was really nervous about it," Ann, 19, told us. "But it was really, really fun, because Chelsey was there with me and we got to laugh at all the goofy things that we were doing. Yeah, it was really exciting." Watching the finale, the girls made it really hard to pick a clear-cut winner. Even Ann thought Chelsey would run away with the title. To Read More Click Here.

Is 'America's Next Top Model' Winner a Surprise? (VIDEO)

Cycle 15 of 'America's Next Top Model' (Wed., 8PM ET on CW) started with 14 models and narrowed it down to two: Ann Ward and Chelsey Hersley. Who would the judges choose -- the 6-foot-2 Texan or the blonde bombshell? After Tyra Banks announced the Top Model, the winning contestant burst into tears. (The runner-up stood stoic and silent.) Meanwhile, was judge André Leon Talley wearing a shower curtain? "Can you think about the people that made fun of you?" Tyra asked Ann. She answered, "There gonna look back and be like, 'Man, I should've been so nice to that girl.'" Source & Video
