TV ratings: 'The Good Wife' rises Sunday with NCAA assist, 'Resurrection' dips

Fast National ratings for Sunday, March 30, 2014"The Good Wife" saw its ratings improve Sunday, a week after it suddenly killed one of its main characters. The CBS show drew some of its best numbers of the season, pending updates for live NCAA basketball that pushed the network's primetime schedule back 20 minutes in Eastern and Central time.Not pictured in these ratings: the season finale of "The Walking Dead," which will just about certainly beat everything on the broadcast networks. Opposite that at 9 o'clock, ABC's "Resurrection" and FOX's "Cosmos" both dropped, as did "Believe" on NBC. CBS scored 11.7 million viewers and a 7.3 rating/12 share in households for the night, pending updates. ABC (6.45 million, 3.9/6) came in second, and NBC (3.9 million, 2.5/4) edged FOX (3.5 million, 2.0/3) for third.CBS also took the adults 18-49 crown with a 2.3 rating. 'Believe': Iraqi War veteran Jake McLaughlin 'lost a lot of faith' in American leadership

Before he became an actor, Jake McLaughlin of NBC's "Believe" was in the U.S. Army, in the unit that was one of the first to enter Baghdad during Operation Iraqi Freedom. McLaughlin served four years and was injured twice: once when a rocket-propelled grenade exploded near a tank in which he was riding; and again after another grenade exploded near him, and he wound up with back and spine injuries.Returning home, he went to work in construction but segued into acting with a role as a soldier in the Tommy Lee Jones film "In the Valley of Elah."Zap2it caught up with him during a press event in January, not long after reports surfaced that terrorist forces were re-entering previously secured territories.Zap2it: You were in the Army during Iraq War, including the invasion of Baghdad. TV ratings: NCAA spillover boosts CBS; other networks down

Fast National ratings for Sunday, March 23, 2014It was a solid night for CBS, though the primetime numbers were boosted by spillover from the NCAA tournament game between North Carolina and Iowa State. It was not a good night for the other networks, as all of ABC's dramas were down by roughly a million viewers and NBC's new dramas "Believe" and "Crisis" each lost 1.5 million viewers over last week. "American Dream Builders" also debuted to a soft 3.6 million, down nearly 3 million viewers from "The Voice" clip show that air in that time period a week ago.The Eye network took the top slot in viewers with 10.3 million and a 6.5 rating/10 share in households, followed by ABC (7.1 million, 4.3/7), NBC (4.3 million, 2.7/4) and FOX (3.7 million, 2.1/3). CBS also won the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.1 rating, followed by ABC at 1.9, FOX at 1.7 and NBC at 1.0.Sunday... //

Exclusive 'Believe' episode 3 pics: Bo's powers run in the family

Through the first two episodes of "Believe," viewers have seen some of Bo's (Johnny Sequoyah) powers and been told that she may have even greater untapped abilities. What hasn't been explored, though, is the source of her abilities.That will change with Sunday's (March 23) episode, "Origin." Flashbacks will feature Bo's mother, Nina (guest star Ella Rae Peck), and Zap2it has a few exclusive photos that help explain Bo's present-day story.Nina was an original recruit of the group known as Orchestra, and as you can see, she got to know both Winter (Delroy Lindo) and Skouras (Kyle MacLachlan) in her time there. She has some of the same gifts as Bo and becomes pregnant during her time with Orchestra, which helps explain how Bo is on Winter's and Skouras' radar in the present. TV ratings: 'Believe' tumbles Sunday while 'Resurrection' stays strong

Fast National ratings for Sunday, March 16, 2014Episode 2 of NBC's "Believe" took a ratings hit in its regular time-period debut, falling more than a point in adults 18-49 without an original "Voice" as a lead-in (NBC ran a clip show Sunday). NBC's other new Sunday show, "Crisis," also debuted to mediocre numbers, although it took second in its hour in the 18-49 demo.ABC's "Resurrection," on the other hand, remained pretty solid. It came down from its premiere last week but was still easily the top network show of the night among adults 18-49. "Once Upon a Time" was steady as well. "Cosmos" also held up in its second week on FOX.
