Frost takes great precautions to ensure Holden's help with the plan; Diane gets a look at Tom's research into Hollow Sky and what they want with Holden; Shoemacher tries to keep Frost on track to reach the Realm.

Holden finally meets the mysterious Frost and is introduced to the aims of Hollow Sky; Willa turns to Luke and Jeff for help in rescuing Holden; Diane confronts Ian with her concerns about his connection to Hollow Sky.

Jeff meets a quirky woman who may be Holden's only hope against Yellow Jacket and Hollow Sky; Luke considers an offer from Pastor Ian; Willa confronts Arthur after he wakes up from his coma.

Holden works on controlling his abilities while on a road trip with Charlie; Shoemacher tasks Yellow Jacket with bringing Holden to Hollow Sky by any means necessary; Luke looks for answers to explain Holden's erratic behavior.

Holden is surprised by how much he has in common with fellow coma survivor Charlie; Jeff forms an uneasy alliance with Tom; Willa is shocked when she uncovers the origins of Arthur's research; Luke encounters trouble at school.

Holden agrees to go on a double date with Luke, Riley and Jamie, then memories come flooding back and cause him to question his grasp on reality; a stranger named Charlie has something in common with Holden.

Holden uncovers a vital clue when he attempts to learn more about the mysterious man who pursues him; the Matthews become unnerved when Jeff continues to show up in their lives; Willa tries to help another comatose patient.

Holden realizes how much has changed since his coma, leading him to seek an explanation for his newly-acquired powers. Meanwhile, Willa and Holden grow closer; and Yellow Jacket makes a bold move in his mission to find Holden.

Holden attends a college party with Luke in an attempt to lead a normal life, but an encounter with a friendly co-ed has disastrous consequences when strange memories of Willa surface. Meanwhile, Diane and Tom try to bond with Holden as an adult.

Holden Matthews miraculously wakes up from a devastating coma to the wonderment of his parents Tom and Diane and younger brother Luke. But the world has changed since Holden went to sleep, and he now has to navigate being an adult when all he remembers is being a child. At the same time, Holden is experiencing abilities and memories he can't explain, and a mysterious woman named Willa warns him not to trust those around him. When a sinister stranger attacks Holden and claims he knows about his new powers, Holden is faced with uncovering just what happened to him while he was in a coma.
