'Blue Bloods' Season 4, episode 12: The Reagans chase a deadly drug called 'The Bogeyman'

Most of the Reagans are in the family business, but that normally doesn't include one of the youngest.Nicky (Sami Gayle) found herself in the thick of a police case in Friday's (Jan. 10) episode of CBS' "Blue Bloods," "The Bogeyman." Attending a teen party, she responded to cries for help as most others evacuated the place, and found a passed-out girl as a couple of stragglers tried to conceal remaining drugs. To no avail, Nicky warned them the drugs should be left as police evidence, then she grabbed a stray packet of the stuff and called 911 -- identifying herself only as "Jane Doe."Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Frank (Tom Selleck) also were concerned with drugs, specfiically a new and lethal type. Jailed informant Carmen (guest star Sasha Allen) told Danny of a narcotic rumored to be "pure heaven, for users of that kind of poison," while Frank worried about a sudden rash of heroin-user deaths in... //

'Blue Bloods' Marisa Ramirez would like to be invited to dinner

Zap2it: You've hardly had any screen time with Tom Selleck on "Blue Bloods," but how do you find him?Marisa Ramirez: I don't even really get to be there when he's filming anything. I'll usually be in hair and makeup when he's doing that, so it's not like I've gone onto the set and watched him, but he has been very sweet to me ... and warm and kind and generous and supportive. That's helped, especially being a newcomer.Zap2it: Do you think your character, Maria, ever will be a guest at the weekly Reagan family dinner?Marisa Ramirez: I don't know! Maybe not as a guest. Maybe she'll drop off some doughnuts or something. Or maybe she'll knock on the door by accident, see what's going on and say, "Hey, I'm kinda hungry. Can I sit?" It would be nice to be invited, but I'm OK to just stay on the work front.Zap2it: "General Hospital" and "The... //

'Blue Bloods' Season 4 fall finale: 'Ties That Bind' hurt Danny

Holiday reunions are meant to be pleasurable, but in Danny Reagan's case, it's not exactly a shock such an encounter would keep him on the job.The NYPD detective (Donnie Wahlberg) initially enjoyed welcoming his childhood friend Mickey (guest star Tom Cavanagh) back home in "Ties That Bind," the last 2013 episode of CBS' "Blue Bloods." In the tale by series co-executive producer Brian Burns, Mickey and wife Connie (guest star Rebecca Budig) relocated from Florida back to New York to help care for her ill mother.Looking out his window and admiring Mickey's Mercedes, Danny also saw a supposed electric-company van he immediately "made" as a surveillance vehicle. At work the next day, Danny was shown photos by the detective who conducted the stakeout -- and who inferred that presumed Realtor Mickey actually was connected to one of Florida's top crime families.Frank (Tom Selleck) paid a hospital visit to an officer wounded in the line of... //

'Blue Bloods' fall finale: Len Cariou appreciates the higher profile

Zap2it: The weekly family dinner scene is such a staple of "Blue Bloods," what do you remember about filming the very first one?Len Cariou: Actors are incredible beings, I think, and we thought we had to figure out a history for ourselves [as the characters]. While they were setting up shots, we were yapping about Donnie's (Wahlberg) and Will's (Estes). We all have a wonderful relationship, and I think the show has a uniqueness because of those very scenes at the dinner table. We get to know the family as more than cops, everybody is wonderful in their roles, and it's a very pleasant working situation.Zap2it: Henry has gotten to draw on his police commissioner past quite a bit in recent episodes. Are you pleased with what's been revealed?Len Cariou: That's the good history of the piece, and it gives the writers something to draw on. And that also makes it ongoing fun for me. New... //

'Blue Bloods' Season 4, episode 10: A bombing sparks a case of 'Mistaken Identity'

After a two-week break, it didn't take long for the Reagans to be in the thick of action again on "Blue Bloods."In "Mistaken Identity," Friday's (Dec. 13) episode of the CBS police drama, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) went with partner Maria (Marisa Ramirez) to investigate the bombing of a mosque. An imam (Alok Tewari) informed the cops it wasn't the first trouble for the site, and he suspected neighbors feared a religion they didn't understand."Haters gonna hate," Maria reasoned, though a gang symbol had been left in one of the incidents. The detectives went to quiz gang leader Kevin (Gregory Cook), who displayed more than a trace of attitude -- directly insulting Maria, who cautioned him about police rules for dealing with "verbally abusive suspects," then made a direct knee-to-crotch "connection" with him.An apparent witness cleared Kevin, but surprised Danny and Maria by claiming the bomber had been wearing Muslim attire. "Why would a Muslim want... //
