Never read any of the books by Michael Connelly, but this show is enthralling, suspenseful and gritty. Titus Welliver is great as Harry Bosch, an old school homicide detective and Jason Gedrick is good also, giving a menacing performance. Captivating right from the start, Bosch is a great crime drama not to be missed if you have a chance to watch. Binge-watched whole second season in a day, captivating awesomeness.

Bosch is a crime drama about a homicide detective who is under investigation for murder and during his trial he stumbles upon a case that he cannot let go. Bosch is rude, stubborn, notorious, insubordinate and his methods are old school. This series has a dark atmosphere, a pessimistic view and caries a cold hard truth. I recommend this show to the crime drama addict.

Amazing, incredible, exceptional. Titus Welliver IS Harry Bosch! I don't think I've ever seen an actor inhabit a character so completely. When he auditioned for the role he read his piece and then left and the showrunner and Michael Connelly (creator) looked at one another and said. "We just met Harry Bosch..." I love the cast, the plots, no punches are pulled, great character actors, yep, I've read all of the books and it's wonderful to see so many of the landmarks mentioned in them (Angels' Flight stairs) in passing or when Titus (Harry) gets out of the car and walks into the precinct Connelly has described in such detail over the past 20 something books. If you love the series then you might want to know that Welliver is now narrating the audiobooks, starting with the latest Harry Bosch. Yay! Season one was stellar, rock on season two!!!!

Worth your time... give it watch.

2 main story lines going on. He's on trial (murder of a serial killer) and gets a case he just can't let go: a child's skeleton is unearthed by retired doctor's dog.

Well written and great cast.

Would be one of the best TV adaptations so far. I wasn't completely sold at the beginning but I've really enjoyed the series. It's not flashy like most detective shows. I also didn't realise that Steven Culp was in it, and it seems that no matter what character he is playing, as soon as you see him you know that something is going to hit the fan.

Titus Welliver brings a great portrayal of one of the best detectives ever written- Harry Bosch. If the first episode is anything to go by, I envy all those not yet familliar with MichaelConnely's magnificent hero, because they will only discover how complex and lovable this burdened man actually is. Bring on the rest of the season!
