Californication First Look: Is Hank Ready to Rock?

Season 5 of Californication ended in a bit of a dark place: Hank ( David Duchovny ) was (possibly fatally) drugged by a bitter ex-girlfriend.  Based on the exclusive first look at Season 6 below, things will remain dark when the show resumes — at least for a little while. "We pick up days after that in the hospital, where Hank has survived but she hasn't," Duchovny says. "This season kind of begins with Hank spiraling down." Next stop: rehab! And with that comes the return of comedy... //www.tvguide.com/News/Californication-Season6-Trailer-David-Duchovny-1057039.aspx?rss=breakingnews

‘Californication’ Season 6 Teaser: Should Hank’s Life Go From “Soap Opera” to “Rock Opera”? [Video]

This January, Hank Moody (David Duchovny) will be back to behaving badly on Showtime’s Californication . Showtime has released a short teaser for season six which finds Hank being confronted by a horrible idea: should his life be turned into a rock opera? Probably not, but his book will be getting the rock opera treatment if guest star Tim Minchin has anything to say about it. In fact, Hank’s life is about to see an influx of rock and roll types this season, including Maggie Grace ( Lost ) as a groupie who Hank will have an "unconventional relationship" with. 'Californication' Season 6: David Duchovny 'always wanted' Hank Moody to die

"Californication" stars David Duchovny and Natascha McElhone are on the cover of the latest issue of LA Confidential, and inside, the actors dish on what's to come in Season 6, which will likely be the final season of the show. Somewhat surprisingly, they say that the fans' obsession with their characters' mercurial romance has invaded their off-screen lives. "I remember after the first season, someone came up to me, literally took me by the shoulders and shook me and said, 'You have to leave that guy!' I was like, 'It's okay, I'm not with him. And he doesn't really exist. It's a character,'" McElhone recalls. "They're so attached to it that they overidentify with her plight and they want to rescue her. It was kind of cute...but not really."Duchovny warns that the show isn't necessarily looking for a happy ending for these characters, particularly when it comes to Hank's considerable vices -- so keep your... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/08/californication-season-6-david-duchovny-always-wanted-hank-moody-to-die.html

Californication: Marilyn Manson to Guest Star in Season 6

Hank Moody has always been a rock star hiding in the body of a writer. Though he toned down the wild behavior (a little) last season on Californication , Moody led with his id for years - the girls, the liquor, the drugs all very much in abundance. With the sixth season of the show looming, though, it looks like he may have met his match once and for all. Rocker Marilyn Manson is scheduled to appear in one episode of Californication , playing himself at a party thrown by Atticus Fetch, the man responsible for adapting Hank's novel "God Hates Us All" into a rock opera titled "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love". Manson comes into contact with Moody and, likely, the entire universe will explode. Or, more likely, it'll get extremely awkward, Hank'll utter a comment that makes the situation more awkward, and they'll both slink off like it never happened. Hank may behave like a rock star, but he's never really been around rock stars, so he should still be adjusting to the change of scenery. Going from the literary business to movies to Broadway/music is a major shift and Hank's such a bull in a china shop around new people anyway that a meeting with Manson should go about as well as expected.
