Con Man Reviews & Ratings

Con Man centers on the post-show life of Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk) the co-star of “Spectrum,” a sci-fi series, which was canceled before its time and went on to become a cult classic beloved by fans. Wray’s good friend, Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) starred as the series Captain and has gone on to become a major celebrity, while Wray (Tudyk) hasn’t found his desired level of stardom. Wray is the begrudging guest of sci-fi conventions, comic book store appearances, and different pop culture events; however, everything is not as it seems from the outside. The series will explore these events and all the weird and crazy things that happen to them along the way.

Entourage for nerds. Con Man, short for Convention Man, is a comedy about life as a B-list celebrity. This is a fictional copyright-friendly account of Alan Tudyk's life after the cult Sci-Fi hit Firefly was cancelled. This is a solidly decent comedy that you can enjoy even if you've never heard of Firefly. I would recommend this to anyone who gets excited about Comi-Con. Available on Vimeo, and Steam.

I love the cast, fandom, Firefly. I was a little concerned about the expy set up, and I couldn't get through the first episode because of the embarrassment humor and the overwhelming bitterness.

I might try again sometime when my own mood is a bit lighter, then again I might not (because this looks like it's set to drag me down).

This web series is quirky and enjoyable. I love the cast from episode to episode, would love to see more Felicia Day come in to play though. If you're a fan of Alan Tudyk and enjoy easy going web series, this one is for you.
