Cooked Reviews & Ratings

60 minutes

Cooked examines the primal human need to cook and issues a clarion call for a return to the kitchen in order to reclaim lost traditions and restore balance to our lives. Each of the series’ four episodes examines one of the physical elements used throughout the ages to transform raw ingredients into delicious dishes: fire, water, air, and earth.

great documentary, not just focussing on where our produce comes from and the food-industry, but more on the cultural implications of food, the history of traditions of cooking and in what ways we can regain our connection with cooking. Very insightful, great interviews and lots of heart!

Great documentary, taking us back to our roots away from capitalism and industrial food production. A must see for a food fanatic who wants to eat healthy and at the same time appreciate what nature offers us and have a new viewpoint of the food in our plates. I must say, this show will make you think about food, it will make you want to try new things and I advise you to enjoy the ride, I'm sure you'll be surrendered by the flavours and techniques you will unfold!
