News for CSI: Miami

What's Hot Today

Tonight's TV Hot List: Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 - Featured

* House (8/7c Fox) House returns from his three-week baseball break, rested if not quite ready. (He doesn't have his medical license back yet.) He'll be at a medical conference on pharmacology with Cuddy and Wilson when his snoop, Lucas (Michael Weston), unexpectedly shows up. Back at the hospital, tonight's mystery disease has befallen a partying teenage girl whose appendages have swollen for no apparent reason. She also can't distinguish between fact and fiction. * How I Met Your Mother (8/7c CBS) When Barney and Robin were falling for each other and unwilling to admit it, Lily tried to make them face their feelings. Now that the couple is unhappy, Lily intervenes again, coming up with a plan to break them up that involves some help from Robin's celebrity friend, Alan Thicke (who appears in a cameo). Speaking of special appearances, Barney may not be easily recognized as his usual self. Let's just say there's a lot more awesomeness to go around these days. * CSI: Miami (10/9c CBS) Dr. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) is a busy man this week. In the first of a three-part CSI crossover event, Langston leaves Las Vegas to go to Miami at the behest of Horatio. A severed leg found in the Everglades is discovered to belong to a girl who disappeared in Vegas a week earlier, so Ray hops a plane to the Sunshine State to investigate. But his probe doesn't end there. The story continues Wednesday on CSI: NY and concludes Thursday on CSI : Crime Scene Investigation. * Lopez Tonight (11/10c TBS ) The late-night chat storm whips up even more when actor and stand-up comic George Lopez gusts in to preside over this new comedy talk show. Like other talkers before it, there will be a monologue, musical and comedy performances, and interviews with entertainers, sports stars, politicians and pop-culture figures. But Lopez, sans interview desk, credits the high-energy Arsenio Hall Show as an influence, and the show aims to bring a spirited party atmosphere that fosters spontaneity and audience interaction. Whether the show actually achieves that, we shall see. In the meantime, Ellen Degeneres, Eva Longoria Parker, NBA star Kobe Bryant and guitarist Carlos Santana are tonight's opening guests. * How the Beatles Rocked the Kremlin (10/9c PBS) The Moscow girls may have made the Beatles sing and shout, but the Beatles had an even bigger impact on those Moscow girls (and guys). According to this documentary from director Leslie Woodhead, who filmed the Fabs in Liverpool's fabled Cavern Club back in 1962, their music dented the Iron Curtain in a way that's almost immeasurable. Among those who offer their recollections of those days is Russian deputy prime minister Sergei Ivanov, who claims to have learned English from Beatles records. Source Here

Video Sneak Peek: Behind the Scenes of the 'CSI' Trilogy

In anticipation of the week-long CSI crossover episodes next week--they call it "CSI Trilogy" and I call it "Langston week"--here's a behind-the-scenes video on how the whole thing panned out. Apart from the usual details on what we should expect next week, all those bits about human trafficking and severed legs, here's a chance to see why Laurence Fishburne looks forward to working with David Caruso and Gary Sinise, why it took a long time for a three-show crossover like this to happen, and how Langston does a Horatio impression. No, really, a Horatio impression--and you might want to say he exaggerated it, judging from the fallen piece of furniture that was involved... Source & Video

First Look Into 'CSI' Mega Crossover Event

The sneak peek to the major crossover that the " CSI " franchise will do in November has been given in the form of promo pics. As reported in August, Laurence Fishburne's Raymond Langston from " CSI : Crime Scene Investigation" will visit the other two shows, " CSI: Miami " and " CSI: NY ", during special one-week event. The crossover begins on the November 9 episode for "Miami" called "Bone Voyage". Horatio Caine calls Langston to come to Miami when a severed leg found in the Everglades is discovered to belong to a girl who went missing in Las Vegas a week earlier. The second part takes place on November 11 for a "NY" episode called "Hammer Down". Langston rushes to New York when Det. Mac Taylor and his team identify a woman hidden in a big rig following an accident as someone he interviewed in Miami related to his missing person's case. Though the woman disappears after the accident, Langston and Mac discover they're onto an interstate trucking ring that specializes in human cargo and black market organ harvesting. The third and final part lands as the "Las Vegas" episode called "The Lost Girl". Langston's continued search for the young girl taken hostage as part of the human trafficking operation leads him to investigate a prostitution ring in Las Vegas that may harbor the missing woman. Tonight's TV Hot List: Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 - Featured

* Castle (10:02/9:02c ABC) She's a hard-nosed detective. He's a charmingly irreverent crime novelist. Surely this partnership can't last for long. Or can it? After all, the show is premised on their unlikely pairing. Things could change tonight, however, when Debi Mazar dances her way onto set to play Castle 's agent and she brings with her an offer that may be too good for him to pass up. The catch? It could mean the end to Castle's days of derring-do as Beckett's partner, and that would certainly be a crime. * Bud Greenspan Presents: Beijing 2008 - America's Olympic Glory (7/6c Showtime ) Those who have seen previous documentaries on Olympic Games from Emmy and Peabody award-winning filmmaker Bud Greenspan will know what to expect. For those who haven't: These are profiles of athletes that follow their stories from preparation for competition through the final results, focusing on the attributes that make them Olympians. This film from the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing includes such U.S. standouts as gymnast Nastia Liukin, fencers Keeth and Erinn Smart and swimmer Jason Lezak. * House (8/7c Fox) House and company won't be back until November, so if they want to get a Halloween episode in this year it had better be now. Sure enough, House sees ghosts (confronts them, anyhow) while Chase's loose ethics are coming back to haunt him (and messing things up with Cameron). Tonight's patient is a cop with heart-disease worries. Actually, he doesn't have heart disease, but he wants to be treated for it because his father, grandfather and great-grandfather all died from it when they were 40. * The Big Bang Theory (9:31/8:31c CBS) Wil Wheaton is known for his role as Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation , but, when he makes an appearance on tonight's episode in a cameo, Sheldon hopes to make him the "crushed." It seems that Sheldon harbors an undying resentment for Wheaton that goes back to his childhood. So, when he hears that his nemesis is competing in a trading-card game, he relishes the chance to compete with him. * CSI: Miami (10/9c CBS) Adam Rodriguez's tenure on the series is rapidly coming to an end. The actor, recently seen in Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All by Myself , will soon join the cast of Ugly Betty as an old high-school flame of Betty's sister, Hilda. Tonight, Rodriguez - er, make that Delko - starts making his exit strategy, which becomes apparent to Calleigh. The central story focuses on a lethal outbreak in Miami that is investigated as murder. And there's good news for Khandi Alexander fans. The actress, once a series regular, returns tonight to help with the case. - Tim Holland Source Here

The Puzzle is Complete: Official Details of Langston's 'CSI' Crossover Out

Or as I'd like to call it, "Langston week", so that it's easier for fans to keep track, or for those who aren't that fond of the idea, to stay away. CBS has finally released official details on Laurence Fishburne's three-part CSI crossover. Quick history lesson: for a week in November, he'll appear on CSI: Miami and CSI: NY apart from his home show, CSI . Of course, we'll have more details as they come (which is why I won't be posting photos yet), but here's what you should expect--and here's why Langston's headed to those cities in the first place. CSI: Miami: "Bone Voyage" November 9, 10pm Horatio finds a severed leg in the Everglades. Turns out, it's from a girl who went missing in Las Vegas a week earlier, so he asks Langston over to help. Prison Break fans: Amaury Nolasco will make a quick guest appearance on this episode. CSI: NY: "Hammer Down" November 11, 10pm Mac and his team identify a woman involved in a big rig accident as someone Langston interviewed regarding the missing woman's case. Upon going to New York, they both realize that they're up against an interstate trucking ring specializing in human trafficking and selling human organs in the black market. CSI: "The Lost Girl" November 12, 9pm A young girl is taken hostage in connection with that trafficking ring, and Langston heads back to Las Vegas to investigate a prostitution ring there, which might be harboring the missing girl.
