Episode Recap: "The DeLuca Motel"

In this episode of CSI: Miami we find out more about Eric's past, setting up a storyline about the plot to kill him and what that means for his future. The scene is the Deluca Motel, somewhere in Miami, where we find out that Delko is staying at this seedy joint. A couple is fighting out by the pool and gunshots ring out. Eric is grazed by a bullet through the window of his hotel room and a man is floating dead in the pool. Horatio asks Eric why he's living in this seedy place and he says it's because he's living on the cheap while he remodels his condo, but we know immediately that there must be more to the story. Tripp and Calleigh are trying to process the crime scene, but there are so many germs, prints, etc. in the hotel room that the scene may be compromised. The M.E. shows H several torture marks on the body and suggests someone had an S&M appointment at the hotel. But, then she also finds a metal piece with a fraternity insignia stuck to the victim's chest and they think it might have been a hazing incident. They question a kid named Neil from the fraternity who said he was in the midst of hazing this guy when the shots rang out, but then he fled. Wolfe collected bullet fragments from Delko's room while Delko and Calleigh go to the hotel room to determine the path of the bullet with the frat boys. They question Carl and Molly Reston, the couple who Delko saw dropping a beer bottle on the pool deck and fighting. They claim they were there on vacation and just having an argument. Wolfe confronts H about the inconsistencies with Delko's story of why he's staying in the hotel and what he's been up to. H says he'll investigate. He goes to Little Havana to confront a man named Enrico who Eric paid $1k to find something out. Eric wanted some legal docs from Cuba but he wouldn't reveal what kind of legal documents they were. read full recap from: TvGuide

Callegh and Eric make me crazy!

Why do they torture me so? We all know they like each other, so what is the deal? Eric has said that he's in love with Calleigh and I think it is quite obvious she like him too, so why can't they just kiss and get on with it? They are seriously making me nuts, but i love them anyway. Oh, well. I guess I will just have to wait and see. But seriously? Why not have them go out or something? Or put her life in some real danger and have Delko save her and maybe, just maybe, put a little kiss at the end of the episode-- you know, surprise! Wait until next week to see how everything goes. Hahaha that would be funny.

Episode Recap: "Power Trip"

In this episode of CSI: Miami, someone is torturing and killing women and the CSIs won't stop until the murderer is caught. After a very dramatic opening sequence, we find out a woman has been found murdered by an electric shock inflicted from jumper cables. The initial medical examination shows that she didn't put up a fight and that she died of heart failure. Her pupils were dilated at the time of death and there is nothing in her bloodstream to indicate why that might have been the case. Kathy Meyers was her name and her boyfriend is questioned after filing a missing person's report after only 12 hours of her being missing. According to the CSIs, it's usually the person that reports it that's guilty. It was determined that the killer dilated her pupils so she was sensitive to the light and couldn't see what was being done to her. There was a murder a year ago where the same pupil dilation technique occurred. The victim's name was Alison Novell and she was stabbed and dumped. The lead suspect was her ophthalmologist, Max Paulson. There's a desk bound detective on the force named Reggie who is sure Paulson is the killer in both cases so after the second murder, he goes and beats up the doctor a little bit. read from TvGuide

My review: "cheating death"

Okay, I'm getting used the Miami's scripts being all over the place but this is getting bad. Okay first we have the Lucy Yates the former Madam wanting to put the squeeze on girls crashing her territory. Read More! Then we have unhappy wives looking for a little excitement and a self confidence boost in sleeping with men that aren't their husbands. The consierge who likes to blackmail those said wives into keeping their secrets. Then of course we have Horatio wanting to solve a murder and save the lost soul. I think the only bright spot to this episode was the bad practical joke Delko and Ryan played on Dr. Price. I appreciate her reasoning for being upset with the joke and I'm looking forward to her revenge on Eric and Ryan. She seems the type to get even.

Episode Recap: "Cheating Death"

On this week's episode of CSI: Miami, soccer moms emerge as prostitutes, a practical joke threatens to delay results in a case and revenge becomes a powerful motive. The episode opens to a couple from Kansas on their honeymoon and the next door room inhabitants are making a lot of noise. The hotel manager breaks in to the offending room to find a couple asleep and the music on loudly. It turns out the guy in bed next to the woman is dead and very bloody!! The woman says she was drugged and didn't remember anything. The dead man is ID'd as Stephen Howell. The woman in bed next to him was Christina Dodd, who tested positive for GHB, the date rape drug. The concierge had delivered the handcuffs to the room upon the demand of the women though, so the matter is confused as to when she became drugged. In questioning, Christina talks about meeting a guy a while back who gave her $500 for sex because he thought she was a prostitute, it made her feel so alive. read full recap from: TvGuide

Sunscreen...

Horatio is so very pale, and so very red haired that I wonder if working in Miami doesn't make him one of the most at risk celebs on the planet? What level of sunscreen do you think he wears - presumably by the bucketload?
