Kristoffer Polaha to Guest Star on CSI

Kristoffer Polaha is on his way to CBS. And this might be very bad news for a few CSI characters. The actor ( Ringer , Life Unexpected , Made in Jersey ) will guest star on the long-running drama's November 27th episode as Darryl, a blue-collar mechanic who comes across as first as likable and charming... ... but when he comes to the assistance of Jorja Fox's Sara, Elisabeth Shue's Finlay and Elisabeth Harnois' Morgan, a much darker and dangerous side of the character comes out.  Read More... //

TV ratings: World Series tops Wednesday, 'CSI' up with 300th episode

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013The opening game of the World Series scored solid ratings for FOX, improving significantly on last year's Game 1 and carrying the network to an across-the-board victory in primetime.FOX's baseball coverage didn't have a lot of effect on the other networks, however, as most shows were fairly steady from a week ago. The 100th episode of "The Middle" was steady with its last original episode on ABC, and "Modern Family" was down a little but kept its spot as the night's top scripted show in adults 18-49. "Criminal Minds" and "CSI" were both up a bit for CBS, but "Arrow" and "The Tomorrow People" were down some. NBC's "Revolution" was about even.FOX delivered 13.7 million viewers and an 8.2 rating/13 share in households for the night, easily topping CBS' 10.4 million viewers and 6.5/10. ABC (6.95 million, 4.5/7) came in third, and NBC (4.8 million, 3.2/5) took fourth.... //

CSI Bosses on 300 Episodes of Murder and the Legacy of Gil Grissom

Wednesday's episode of CSI marks the CBS procedural's 300th episode, and no matter how you slice it, that's a lot of murder. "We figure we've killed thousands of people," executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says with a laugh. "Which probably isn't something to be proud of, but... most shows never get to 300 episodes. Everybody's just so proud." Indeed, reaching such a milestone is rare in today's increasingly fragmented television landscape... //

'CSI': Ted Danson welcomes Marg Helgenberger back for show's 300th episode

A 300th episode is a milestone extremely few series get to celebrate.Maybe that doesn't seem as surprising for a drama that has spent much of its run heralded as "the most popular show in the world," but it's a major moment for "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" nevertheless. The globally successful Anthony E. Zuiker-created procedural -- which inspired much of what CBS' prime-time schedule has looked like for the past decade-plus -- marks the event Wednesday, Oct. 23, with a story that acknowledges "CSI" history in a number of ways. The plot revisits a cold case from the Las Vegas forensics team's early days, and founding co-star Marg Helgenberger (who will be back on CBS weekly this winter in "Intelligence") returns as Catherine Willows.Paul Guilfoyle, alias Capt. Jim Brass, has been with "CSI" from the start. "It's kind of an abstract number," the actor reasons to Zap2it of reaching the 300th tale. "It's almost like waking up... //
