Dallas Reboot Canceled by TNT

Southfork is closed for business. TNT has canceled its reboot of the classic series Dallas after three seasons, a TNT spokesperson told TheWrap on Friday. TNT has decided not to renew Dallas. We are extremely proud of the series, which defied expectations by standing as a worthy continuation of the Ewing saga, the spokesperson said. We want to thank everyone involved with the show, from the extraordinary cast to the impeccable production team, led by the show's creative forces, Cynthia Cidre and Mike Robin. Dallas Fans Express Shock, Grief and Disbelief Over Season Finale Death of Jesse Metcalfe

When TNT began teasing that a lead character would die on the season 3 finale of Dallas, there was always a chance that the chosen Ewing could be a minor character who wouldn't mess with ongoing dramatic tensions amongst the group. Fortunately, the network pulled no punches and apparently killed off Christopher Ewing ( Jesse Metcalfe ), whose rivalry with John Ross (Josh Henderson) has been the centerpiece of the show since its beginning. Dallas Season 3 Finale Teaser Promises A Dead Ewing (Video)

TNT promised the death of a main character in a new teaser for the Season 3 finale of Dallas. In five days, one Ewing will die, an ominous narrator announces in the trailer, released Tuesday. He's referring, of course, to a family member who serves as the focal point for most of the hit show's drama. Patrick Duffy's character, Bobby Ewing, is held captive in the trailer, while a nefarious, antagonizing voice declares that the time for negotiating has passed.The teaser sets up Bobby to be the ill-fated Ewing, but it easily might be a misdirection.   Read More... //
