TNT Announces 'Dallas,' 'Falling Skies' Web Shows

  AMC does it with  The Walking Dead , now TNT is getting in on the game. As the cable network readies the launches of two scripted dramas,  Dallas  and returning sci-fi series  Falling Skies,  it announced Wednesday that it will debut post-episode web shows for both series. The new 15-minute talk shows,  2nd Watch (following  Falling Skies ) and  Dallas Round-Up (following  Dallas) , will feature discussions on the week's episodes, interviews with cast and crew, behind-the-scenes footage, fan questions and trivia. The mother of all nighttime dramas is less than two months away from making its return to TV. And to ramp up the excitement about the newest iteration/continuation of "Dallas," TNT has put out an extended promo for the soap.The series catches up with the Ewing family 21 years after the long-running show left the air. It features original cast members Larry Hagman,Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray. Added to the familiar faces are their now grown-up children John Ross (Josh Henderson) and Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe). 'Dallas': Producers of TNT series staying faithful to original

The new "Dallas" that debuts in the summer is not a remake or a reboot. TNT really, really wants you to know that.In fact, executive producer Cynthia Cidre says, she never gave any thought to trying to remake the legendary drama. Instead, she chose to pick up the story of the Ewings 20 years later, with J.R. (Larry Hagman), Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) fully involved."I couldn't imagine making a remake," Cidre said Saturday (Jan. 14) at the TV critics' press tour. "That would just be -- I don't know. We've seen it. There were 357 episodes. These lovely actors were, thank goodness, still around and wanted to be in the show, and it just seemed natural to catch up with the Ewing family we loved 20 years later and see where they were at this point in their lives."The show will focus heavily on the rivalry between J.R.'s son John Ross... //

'Nurse Jackie' hosts another 'Sopranos' reunion; '24' star Carlos Bernard heads to 'Dallas'

Turturro will only appear in one "Jackie" episode, but it's a "pivotal" role. The show has also cast Oscar winner Joel Grey as a patient suffering from dementia. [Showtime]Former "24" good/bad/good guy Carlos Bernard has taken a recurring part on TNT's reboot of "Dallas." He's set to play a Venezuelan businessman who has dealings with J.R. (Larry Hagman).
