'Dallas' Season 3 premiere: The Ewings carry on in love and war

In real time, new "Dallas" episodes left off 10 months ago. In Southfork time, it's only been 12 hours. That was explained in the opening scene of 'The Return," Monday's (Feb. 24) Season 3 premiere of the TNT series, as Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) visited his family's burial plot. "I'm the only one left," he said at the gravesites of brother J.R. and their parents, Jock and Miss Ellie. "I'll try not to disappoint you."J.R.'s son, newlywed John Ross (Josh Henderson), was geting on with business in his own way by continuing his extramarital dallying with Emma (Emma Bell), who had the power to make decisions for her father Harris Ryland's (Mitch Pileggi) company while he was in prison -- an incarceration she engineered.Later, John Ross' wife Pamela (Julie Gonzalo) met him outside Southfork, where he wanted to make good on their elopement by placing on her finger "the biggest diamond in Texas." He then got... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/02/dallas-season-3-premiere-the-return-renews-intrigue-for-the-ewings.html

'Dallas' On-Set Interviews: Josh Henderson and Emma Bell on Dysfunction and the Love Triangle

Dallas season 3 picks up only 12 hours after last year's finale with John Ross and Emma waking up in their hotel room. He may be married to Pamela, but his fling with Emma is far from over. 'Dallas' Season 3: The Ewings get back to business without J.R.

"Dallas" is starting its new season in a way it never has before, in either its initial or current versions ... without J.R. Ewing. The iconic character's death echoed the passing of his portrayer, Larry Hagman, but both their shadows continued to loom large over the rest of Season 2 of the TNT reboot. The legacy of J.R. remains a big factor as the third season starts Monday, Feb. 24, even as others try to fill his shoes and new characters pose fresh complications for the residents of Southfork Ranch. And their allies. And their enemies. As Hagman did, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray -- who also starred in the 1978-91 CBS incarnation -- remain pivotal to "Dallas" as J.R.'s brother Bobby and ex-wife Sue Ellen. The saga picks up 12 hours after it left off, so Duffy feels it's appropriate for J.R. still to be invoked from the get-go, with the first scene showing Bobby at... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/02/dallas-season-3-premiere-carrying-on-without-jr-ewing.html

DALLAS is back tonight, and things are as crazy as ever for America’s most dysfunctional family: while the Ewings might think they’re in the clear after framing Cliff for J.R.’s “murder” — and therefore free to resume bickering with each other — a new foe pops up…and s/he has some help. ‘Dallas’ Launches J.R. Ewing Bourbon Brand — Careful, Sue Ellen!

Someone point Sue Ellen Ewing in the direction of the nearest Alcoholics Anonymous meeting — because she’s going to need it. In celebration of the Season 3 premiere of TNT’s “Dallas” on Feb. 24, Warner Bros. Television and the Southfork Bottling Company have teamed up to launch J.R. Ewing Bourbon, which will hit spirit retailers’ shelves at the end of March. Just in time to tempt poor Sue Ellen, at a very vulnerable time during her long struggle with the demon alcohol. As “Dallas” fans will recall, at the end of Season 2 of “Dallas,” Sue Ellen (played by Linda Gray), grief-stricken by the death of her ex J.R. Ewing, bids adieu to the wagon and once again seeks the warm, bleary-eyed embrace of the bottle.  Read More... //www.thewrap.com/dallas-launches-bourbon-brand-careful-sue-ellen/
