Mary Murphy Says Chelsea Kane Should Win Dancing With the Stars

Mary Murphy is the ultimate ballroom dance authority, so when she speaks (er screams, rather), we listen. What's our fave So You Think You Can Dance judge gabbing about these days? Dancing With the Stars, of course. According to Mary, there's a good chance the most technical dancer in the competition may be overlooked. "I definitely think Chelsea [should win]," she told Zap2It. "I don't know that she will win because she is not well known. I definitely think she is producing the best dancing... //feeds.wetpaint.com/~r/wetpaint/latest/excerpt/~3/zn4GVYIzvGM/mary-murphy-says-chelsea-kane-should-win-dancing-with-the-stars

Chelsea Kane is Dancing With the Stars best, says SYTYCDs Mary Murphy

Mary Murphy, in the midst of Las Vegas auditions for So You Think You Can Dance, picks Chelsea Kane as her favorite dancer on this season of Dancing With the Stars.I still think they have quite a journey to go through, Murphy tells Zap2it. I definitely think Chelsea [should win]. I dont know that she will win because she is not well known. I definitely think she is producing the best dancing on the show.Besides Kane, Murphy is also impressed by Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward.I have been blown away by Hines Ward, Murphy says. I am a huge football fan. I just cant believe him! I think he is doing tremendous. I dont care if you are an athlete. Ballroom dancing is a totally different ballgame. I know people anticipate Kirstie Alley, may be the favorite. I am just talking about the dancing.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/chelsea-kane-is-dancing-with-the-stars-best-says-sytycds-mary-murphy.html

Chris Jericho Felt Like a 'King' During Classical Night on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Exclusive: Pro wrestler Chris Jericho guest blogs about how a song saved 'Dancing With the Stars' classical-music night for him. For the first time ever on 'Dancing With the Stars,' it was Classical Week, which meant that all the dances were performed in front of a 46-piece symphony orchestra. When I first heard about the concept, I have to admit that I wasn't overly excited. I mean, I appreciate the Beethovens and Tchaikovskys of the world, but I didn't know how I was supposed to dance the passionate paso doble to a song that had no words or drums! It was with great hesitation that I asked partner Cheryl Burke to play me the song to which we would be performing. But as the music unfolded, it was with great joy that I realized I knew the song and had heard it 100 times before: It was 'Hall of the Mountain King' by Savatage. //www.tvsquad.com/2011/04/13/guest-blogger-chris-jericho-dancing-with-the-stars-classical-night/

Backstage Interviews at 'Dancing With the Stars': Sugar Ray Leonard's Exit and More Dating Rumors

Despite an improved performance and not being the lowest scoring couple, Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya were sent packing last night on 'Dancing With the Stars.' The couple had scored 21 points on Monday's performance show and earned high praise from taskmaster judge Len Goodman, who said he was "thoroughly entertained" by the duo's Viennese Waltz. Producers kept everyone guessing by having host Tom Bergeron announce that top-scoring duo Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas were in jeopardy and could be sent home. In the end, however, it was the revered fighter who went down for the count. Leonard and Trebunskaya spoke to TV Squad on the post-show press line immediately after the live results show. //www.tvsquad.com/2011/04/13/backstage-dancing-with-stars-sugar-ray-leonard-hines-dating/

Sugar Ray Leonard Wanted to Win 'DWTS': 'My Heart Hurts' (VIDEO)

Sugar Ray Leonard may not have looked all broken up about his elimination from 'Dancing with the Stars' this week, but the competition did matter to him. As a boxer, competition is something that's in his blood, so it's hard to imagine him not caring, as Jimmy Kimmel suggested on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC). "an Olympic gold medalist, boxing champion over and over and over again," Kimmel said detailing some of Leonard's achievements. So, of 'DWTS' "Who cares, really? Right?" "I care," Leonard responded. "I wanted to win." //www.tvsquad.com/2011/04/13/sugar-ray-leonard-wanted-to-win-dwts-my-heart-hurts-video/

'Dancing with the Stars' Classical Week Eliminates Sugar Ray Leonard

Sugar Ray Leonard had one of his best dances on Monday, April 11, but it did not subsequently make his position safe. The former boxer, who entertained judges with his Viennese waltz, was eliminated on Tuesday night.   Sugar Ray was in the bottom three along with   Petra Nemcova   and Chelsea Kane (previously known as Chelsea Staub ). Chelsea being in this risky situation was not expected since she did "the best dance of the night" and scored the highest with 26.    Read More... //www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00039719.html

'Dancing with the Stars': Jennifer Hudson has us 'Feeling Good'

Jennifer Hudson can sing. And that really stands out on a dance competition show. The "Idol" contestant turned Oscar winner performed two songs from her new album "I Remember Me" on Tuesday's "Dancing with the Stars."First, Hudson -- totally kicking it in a fab purple mini dress and a pair of matching heels -- belted out the up-tempo "Don't Look Down" as Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel did their best to distract us. It didn't work. J-Hud had us at hello.Later in the show, she was back -- still in the purple frock (points for no diva-esque costume change) -- to sing "Feeling Good," a retro-y big band number that slowed down the pace and has us ready to download "I Remember Me."... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/dancing-with-the-stars-jennifer-hudson-has-us-feeling-good.html

'Dancing with the Stars': Sugar Ray Leonard knocked out of competition

Sugar Ray Leonard, boxing legend, fought his last round on "Dancing with the Stars" on Tuesday (April 12). Leonard and partner Anna Trebunskaya became the third couple voted off this season. They follow radio personality Mike Catherwood and partner Lacey Schwimmer and talk show host Wendy Williams and her partner, Tony Dovolani.Annoyingly enough, Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas -- who scored Monday's highest score with their Harry Potter-themed waltz -- remained in jeopardy up until the final minute. The third couple in danger of going home this week was supermodel tsunami survivor Petra Nemcova and her partner, Dmitry Chaplin. And despite a shoe mishap during this week's performance (this on the heels of last week's snafu), Kirstie Alley (along with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy) remain safe."I put up a good fight," said Leonard after the cut. Indeed he did. Next week: Patriot's Day theme. We can hardly wait.... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/04/dancing-with-the-stars-sugar-ray-leonard-knocked-out-of-competition.html
