'Dancing With the Stars' Week 5: Ricki's Roger Rabbit Flops, J.R. Shines

It was '80s night on 'Dancing With the Stars' this week and that meant big hair, big shoulder pads, acid brights, a guest performance by The Bangles and ... the Roger Rabbit? The seemingly unstoppable Ricki Lake didn't look so smooth doing the Roger Rabbit this week, even after some encouragement from surprise guest, filmmaker John Waters, who gave Ricki her big break in 1988's 'Hairspray.' Unfortunately, Ricki just couldn't find the beat this week, and that definitely hurt her scores. After scoring two 10's last week for her thrilling 'Psycho' tango and being atop the leaderboard for three weeks in a row , Ricki dropped the ball this week, only scoring a 24 and losing her top spot to J.R. Martinez. //www.aoltv.com/2011/10/17/dancing-with-the-stars-week-5-performances/

'Dancing With the Stars': J.R. Martinez, Karina Smirnoff samba into first place

1980s week was, like, totally awesome, to the max for J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff on "Dancing With the Stars." They did a samba to Gloria Estefan's "Conga" that was muy caliente and propelled them to the top of the leaderboard for week 5. Bruno called him "a loin-shattering sex machine," which - okey dokey. He also praised J.R.'s "fire down below." Len says, "In the future, if anyone says to me, 'How should a guy dance the samba?', I'll just say look at J.R." Carrie Ann just says, "I want more of that because that was amazing." He received a 28, two nines and a 10, which is only the third 10 given out after Ricki's two 10s last week. 'Dancing With the Stars': Carson Kressley whams through the jive

It's 1980s week on "Dancing With the Stars," which is a totally tubular theme. Carson Kressley and his partner Anna Trebunskaya unfortunately ended up in last place after their rather spectacularly bad Jive to Wham's "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go."Len says, "If I was judging with my heart, you would be back next week," while Bruno calls it "loopier than a looney tune." But he also praised Carson's "wacky fun" and "crowning achievement in madness."Carrie Ann says, "I just didn't see much technique anywhere." The judges ended up giving Carson a 19 - sixes from Carrie and Len, seven from Bruno. What do you think? Is it Carson's time to go-go?... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/10/dancing-with-the-stars-carson-kressley-whams-through-the-jive.html

'Dancing with the Stars' Week 5 Preview: The '80s Return

For the eight couples who remain to compete on Dancing with the Stars season 13, things will be going seriously retro. It's '80s Week at Dancing with the Stars , a signal for (big) bad hair, rockin' pop music and a whole lot of cheesy jokes from Tom Bergeron. But what else can we expect? According to what ABC has let slip about the days to come, week 5 will feature special guests along the lines of The Bangles and Kelly Clarkson. //www.buddytv.com/articles/dancing-with-the-stars/dancing-with-the-stars-week-5-42211.aspx
