Len Loses It on Dancing With the Stars

The only thing more explosive than Kellie Pickler 's paso doble with pros Derek Hough and Tristan MacManus on Dancing With the Stars Monday night was the ballroom reaction to the score it received from head judge Len Goodman : A measly 7. "Just ridiculous!," cried judge Bruno Tonioli who, along with judge Carrie Ann Inaba , gave the dance a perfect 10. //www.tvguide.com/News/Dancing-With-The-Stars-Len-Loses-It-1065083.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'Dancing with the Stars' judge Len Goodman loses it over Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough's dance

Part of the magic of live TV is the fact that no one can predict what's going to happen. Certainly nobody expected that "Dancing with the Stars" judge Len Goodman would completely and totally lose it during his commentary on the paso doble performance from Kellie Pickler, Derek Hough and Tristan MacManus.Over the course of 16 seasons of "DWTS," Len has regularly disagreed with his co-judges, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Where the other two tend to be effusive and emotional, Len Goodman is the staid and serious judge. It can be hard to please him.Derek Hough has had more trouble dealing with Len than many of the professional dancers. That's because Len really, really doesn't like Derek's avant-garde choreography. The trio dance that Derek performed with Kellie and Tristan was very much an example of this issue. Len hated the dance. This wouldn't have been a big deal, except Len loudly and completely... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/dancing-with-the-stars-judge-len-goodman-loses-it-over-kellie-pickler-and-derek-houghs-dance.html

'Dancing With the Stars': Sean Lowe's tango and trio are not up to par

For their first dance this week on "Dancing With the Stars," Sean Lowe and partner Peta Murgatroyd took on the tango. Peta was urging Sean to have "aggressive arms" during their rehearsals -- did he pull it off? He did pretty well, actually. He definitely looked like he was concentrating really, really hard, but he was stiff (in a good way) and on point, we thought. The judges weren't quite so complimentary. "You started extremely well, but you have a tendency of your feet don't seem to be in the right place at the right time," says Bruno. "You're back to this inconsistency ... focus in and get there," adds Carrie Ann. "It was sharp and it was powerful ... but you lost the fluidity, the quality of movement was gone," says Len. After his performance, fiancee Catherine Giudici looked pleased and she definitely pulled a face when Len called the dance "ugly." 'Dancing with the Stars' week 8 live blog: Trios and the 300th episode

"Dancing with the Stars" has almost reached 300 episodes? That's rather frightening. Hopefully, the week 8 dances that commemorate this high number -- trio performances as well as the normal pairs -- will be much less scary. After all, we only have a few dances left before that big number 300 arrives on Tuesday. We have all of the performances and scores here in the "DWTS" live blog.Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy -- foxtrotYou can't go too wrong with "Don't Worry, Be Happy." Especially when you have a cheerful, young dancer like Zendaya. The foxtrot isn't stunning or dramatic -- but it is light and beautiful and a really cool performance.Len: "The longer it goes on, the stronger you get."Bruno: "Pure, graceful, light and breezy ... What you have is a natural musicality."Carrie Ann: "As soon as you got into hold, you took my breath away."Scores: 9+10+9 = 28 Sean Lowe and Peta Murgatroyd -- tangoDoes... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/05/dancing-with-the-stars-week-8-live-blog-trios-and-the-300th-episode.html

'Dancing with the Stars' Week 8 Preview: Dance Night is Trio Night

We move into week eight of Dancing with the Stars  season 16, and with Andy Dick's demise last week, the last of the terrible dancers has been eliminated. Every one of the remaining six stars are at least sound performers in the ballroom. It would seem that Ingo Rademacher and Sean Lowe are next on the chopping block, as they are a step behind Jacoby Jones and a step-and-a-half behind Kellie Pickler, Zendaya and Alexandra Raisman. However, picking who will be sent packing is going to be more difficult going forward with no obvious slouches left. //www.buddytv.com/articles/dancing-with-the-stars/dancing-with-the-stars-week-8-50022.aspx
