The sequel to Darker than Black takes place in the same world of super-powered conspiracy and intrigue as the first series. Two years after the events of the previous series ended in the Tokyo Explosion, Hei now works for the CIA in Siberia, where he chases down the meteor fragment that found its way to the Pavlichenko family.
