'Desperate Housewives': Beth Young will be back

If there's one thing we've learned from "Desperate Housewives" this season, guns don't kill in Fairview. In Sunday's (March 7) episode, Beth Young (played by Emily Bergl) was turned away a second time by Paul (played by Mark Moses) and disowned by her jailed mother, Felicia (Harriet Sansom Harris). She ended up being a donor match for Susan (Teri Hatcher) and it seemed she felt that would give her life some meaning. But, Bree (Marcia Cross) is also a match. And as Susan's closer friend and similarly in need of meaning in her life, Bree got dibs on being the donor. In a strange scene, Beth entered an ER, convinced the nurse to take her completed donor application and then shot herself in the head. In an attempt to throw the audience off, Bergl tweeted last night that she had no idea how her character would end and later admitted that she did know, but wanted to offset... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/desperate-housewives-beth-young-will-be-back.html

"They try not to panic but make a little bucket list and live a little more, which is fun. You can only have so much of drug addictions, comas and hit-and-runs."    Read More... //www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00038604.html

'Desperate Housewives': Contract negotiations are 'tenuous,' says cast member

It would seem that signing on for another couple seasons of "Desperate Housewives" would be a no-brainer for the lead women, but according to one cast member that isn't so."It's very tenuous, it's not as automatic as it seemed a few months ago," James Denton, who plays Mike Delfino, tells Access Hollywood Live.Even as he uses a loaded word like "tenuous," Denton says, "I think it's going to work out. The network really wants us. We all want to be there."Denton says that they would have "to drag me out of there feet first" before he'd leave his job on the show, but admits that the men haven't even been approached about their contracts. All seems to depend on whether the women can get their contracts squared away first.According to Denton, Teri Hatcher is content with her contract. Also, newest housewife, Vanessa Williams, has said that she's "locked down for a while" if they decide to extend... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/02/desperate-housewives-contract-negotiations-are-tenuous.html
