I REALLY wanted to like this show, after all, it has a lot going for it... a fairly solid cast, a healthy production budget, and a captivating pilot episode. So what's the problem for me? The premise. If you've never heard of the Jejune Institute in real life then DON'T google it because you'll ruin the plot of this show for yourself and what seems like a fairly awesome show with potential sci-fi elements will suddenly become nonsense. This show's origins are based on nonsense. Sure, everyone who participated in the Jejune Institute in real life said it was the experience of a lifetime but if you have a fairly active life and already are self aware and see the good in the world despite the bad then you'd classify the Jejune Institute as nonsense. People who had too much time an money on their hands to create a game for people who had too much time on their hands to play. Knowing the origins of the show ruins the adventurous element of the show. If I didn't already know the origins, I might be quite mesmerized and I'd certainly keep watching.
