Dana Brody in Homeland . Izzie Stevens in Grey’s Anatomy . Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones . None of those characters made this list. They and/or the actors who portray them are terrible! (Sad!) But there have been a plethora of shocking exits in recent years, in part because TV writers, looking for "event" ratings during this golden age of television, have become ruthless, axing an incredible number of fan favorites without a moment's hesitation.
