Parminder Nagra Ties the Knot

ER 's Parminder Nagra, who plays Neela on the NBC staple, said "I Do" to longtime boyfriend and celebrity photographer James Stenson over the weekend. The couple of seven years was married Saturday afternoon in Hollywood, according to People. The 33-year-old actress wed Stenson, 34, in a traditional Sikh ceremony "Anand Karaj," which is considered a holy union between two souls and means "blissful event or occasion." The Bend it Like Beckham star, who hails from Leicester, England, met Stenson while working prior to coming to the U.S. In December, Nagra also announced that she and Stenson will be expecting their first child together this summer. ER executive producer John Wells told reporters Thursday during the Television Critics Association that her pregnancy will be incorporated into the final episodes. "We were trying to juggle how that was going to work because she is starting to show," Wells said, "and what seemed sort of tragic at first ... when we talked about it ... there was a tremendous feeling of, 'Oh, there's this one [story] that we haven't done,' so it's actually very exciting." ER Gets 3-Episode Extension

This isn't all too surprising, since NBC's ER has regularly been winning it's 10PM Thursday slot this season (talk about a flashback to like, 6 years ago). The network has decided to eek out yet a little more life from the series, ordering an additional 3 episodes for this final season. It is unclear how this will affect the premiere of new drama Kings , previously scheduled to debut March 12, following what would have been the series finale of ER. Source: Reuters .

"We are thrilled and overjoyed at the prospect of becoming first-time parents," Nagra said. The actress is due in the summer - well past ER 's planned February series finale, but there are "no plans to write the pregnancy in the show." When the medical drama does wrap for good, don't expect Nagra to take an extended maternity leave. "I feel like I will want to work, but who knows what I'll feel like when the baby arrives," she said. The British-born star adds that the couple will tie the knot - in due time. Julianna Margulies Says "No" to ER Visit

It's easier for ER to bring people back from the dead than it is to bring people back from Seattle. Julianna Margulies, half of County General's Doug-Carol tandem, has declined to reprise her role as Nurse Carol Hathaway on the medical drama's fifteenth and final season, The Associated Press reports. "I feel like I left Carol Hathaway in the best scenario possible," Margulies said. "I can't imagine making it any better than that." read more from: TvGuide

Anthony Edwards on Returning to ER

Thursday marks the return of Dr. Mark Greene (Anthony Edwards) to ER (10 pm/ET, NBC), which raises at least one tricky question. Like: Didn't that character die? Don't worry, Greene isn't returning spectrally to haunt his former place of employment. The episode, titled "Heal Thyself," is a flashback to approximately six years ago, when Dr. Cate Banfield (Angela Bassett), County General's current chief resident, first came to the ER : as the mother of one of Dr. Greene's patients. For Edwards, not only did he agree with the producers' creative vision for Greene's return during ER's 15th, and final season, it gave him an opportunity to spotlight his philanthropy with Shoe4Africa, a nonprofit organization that uses sports, specifically sneakers, to promote health and disease prevention in Africa. Edwards, an avid runner, took some time to tell us why he agreed to don Greene's scrubs again, reuniting with his former castmates and whether he sees another TV series in his future. read the interview from: TvGuide
