EXTANT: "ASCENSION" REVIEW

After moving at a slow pace for at least half of the season, Extant has been stepping it up. That trend continued in the Season 1 finale as they wasted no time getting Molly into space. She was working with the Seraphim solving problems a la Ellen Ripley soon after the episode started, and we needed to see her in action. Bonus: she got a cool spacesuit and a helmet capable of separating reality from illusions created by the spores. That was clever. Extant Review: Transcendence

Extant has come to an end for now (at least if fans have their way), and while there was a nice overarching message about connections and humanity, whether it was a satisfying conclusion to season is debatable. During  Extant Season 1 Episode 13  Molly went to space to save the human race. Odin's worse fears were realized although he doesn't know it and Circles is off on a trek of his own. Extant Season 1 Review “Ascension”

On the season (and possibly series) finale of  “Extant,”  it was time for Molly to potentially save the world- or not, as the case might be- in “Ascension.” This was the episode in which, for better or worse, all the various plot threads finally came together. 'Extant' Season 1 Finale Recap: Everything is at Stake

It's all come down to this on the season finale of Extant . Molly is going back up into space to intercept the Seraphim. She has two hours to get it back into orbit, keeping it from falling down to the Earth and spreading the alien spores attached to it. If she doesn't, she's armed with plenty of explosive power to disable the ship (and probably her) for good. Back on our planet, John has to keep a bomb from going off, aka his robotic son, Ethan. To say that the survival of the entire Wood's family is at stake is an understatement.   Read More... //www.buddytv.com/articles/extant/extant-season-finale-recap-eve-54617.aspx
