Die Macher geben sich sehr viel Mühe die Serie endlich richtig zum laufen zu bringen. Es wurden nervige Charaktere getötet und auch einer aus TWD imprtiert. Aber es will und will nicht richtig der Funke überspringen...

Created in the same universe of The Walking Dead, this show tells us what actually happened during the infection and how people dealt with it shortly after. It follows a complicated family along their road to survival and shows us how other people would react to a zombie invasion.

I think this show is pretty good for a spin-off. It shows a different aspect of the whole zombie apocalypse we've come to know (and love?) from The Walking Dead. I like how it centers more around the beginning of it all and thus is a bit more action loaded.

I realized something watching this most recent episode, and I wanted to throw it there. Why is it that the creators of TWD and FTWD seem to have it in for moms? With Madison's stunt from last episode, drawing every breathing soul within walking distance to the hotel, it suddenly hit me. Starting with Lori, followed by Diana and Jessie, and rounded out by Madison, it seems that every woman whose motherhood is in part of the story arc apparently turns into a drooling idiot at the thought of her kids whereabouts. It doesn't even seem to be about safety for the child, but rather 'I lost my baby, here - have my mind, and my common sense, and every other part that makes me a survivor'
I resent this, and I object! I think it is an incredibly unrealistic bias that is coming out here - the dads seem to get it together eventually - but the mom's never do - until either they or the kid is dead.
And reality of the human condition has shown that moms are equally capable of making the smart choice, the brave decision, the logical conclusion when it comes to the safety of their offspring, as dad's - and often: Even more so!

So how about it creators? Can we have a kick-ass momma bear with a brain for a change?

The story on this show never seems to go anywhere, everytime it is going somewhere the team veers off in a different direction instead and the characters on the show are terrible and painfully annoying. It is painful to watch as the characters go through one completely unrealistic TV character development trope after another. We have all seen these same deolpment tropes a thousand times before. For example the parents not wanting their kids to learn to defend themselves and kill zombies I'm sorry, but in a zombie apocalypse, I don't find this realistic at all and it is just painfully annoying and hard to watch. This show is almost a parody of itself, you find yourself waiting for the punchline, but one never comes and this show drones on and on never knowing where to go with its story line and instead just leans on the character development as a crutch. The only reason for this show to even exist is the popularity and success of its predecessor.

Some say it's too slow for their liking. I like it just the way it is. The slower the better. That's means thy can take their time with the details. Two thumbs up.

An edgy prequel to The Walking Dead series, full of drama, suspense and action packed scenes. It will leave you on the edge of your seat, clutching the nearest weapon, just in case the DEAD walk again!

Hello everyone! I'm going to give you the good and the bad in this review :)

As a fan of The Walking Dead I wasn't completely sold on the idea of a spin off show. I love the original cast and show so much I was wary of a new show. I decided to watch because I did want to see how the producers would expand the walking dead universe. First the Good: I enjoyed seeing first hand how the zombies started out small and how people reacted. On the original walking dead when the main character Rick awakens the zombies are already in full swing so I enjoyed the reactions of these new characters facing this situation. Next the Bad: A show is only as good as it's characters and for me this show struggles with creating likable characters for me to root for. I don't have a favorite character on this show so far which is not good. I will say this problem could be fixed in season 2. The Walking Dead is good at developing it's characters and changing them as the story progresses so Fear the Walking Dead can definitely do this as well. I hope it does because I would love to have two awesome zombie shows to watch.

I would recommend watching Fear the Walking Dead to fans of The Walking Dead. I would just warn those watching that despite a so far lack luster cast the show is headed in the right direction.

That's my review thanks for reading

The show is okay, but moves way too fast in my opinion. Good drama requires suspension. Instead we get first Z attacks one day, then military quarantine essentially on the next day - with the big city apparently already fallen. The characters also often make way too stupid decisions to be realistic .
