GIRL MEETS WORLD: "PILOT" REVIEW

Honestly, Disney Channel's Girl Meets World had a lot to live up to in terms of following in the footsteps of its beloved precursor, Boy Meets World. In the premiere episode, the spinoff tackles the issue head-on with a storyline that serves as a passing of the torch, from BMW's Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) to his wide-eyed, 11-year-old daughter Riley (Rowan Blanchard). In that sense, the pilot gives viewers a good idea of  whose  show this really is, even if the actual  show  remains a bit of a mystery (but that's often the case with pilots anyway).  Read More... //www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/04/girl-meets-world-pilot-review

Girl Meets World Review: World, Meet Girl

Like most kids of the '80s and '90s, I gave into nostalgia and checked out the much-anticipated  Girl Meets World  premiere. 'Girl Meets World' Review: A Fun Nostalgia-Fest That Caters to Today's Youth

Cory and Topanga are back on TV tonight. It's as if they never left us when Boy Meets World ended in 2000, right? Well, not quite becausemuch has changed in the last 14 years -- the couple now has a pre-teen daughter looking to find her way in this world, in the same way that her father did all those years ago. Instead of the boy meeting the world, it's now the girl's turn. In Girl Meets World , we're introduced to 12-year-old Riley (the titular girl). And just as Cory had a "bad boy" best friend, Riley has a "wild child" BFF named Maya.   Read More... //www.buddytv.com/articles/girl-meets-world/girl-meets-world-review-a-fun-53921.aspx
