This show is amazing! I loved everything about it; the 80's fashion, hating Marc Maron, the hair, the wrestling, the everything! Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin have amazing chemistry and I love how grey and sad Alison's Ruth is. Everyone in this ensemble gets to shine and be real people not just the stereotypes they play. It is funny and touching and just great. I didn't expect much, but damn am I glad I watched.

Okay, not at all what I was expecting.. I grew out of wrestling in my early teens (the WWF days when you had rowdy roddy piper, hulk hogan, ultimate warrior, jim huggan, jimmy snooker, british bulldog etc.. but this show had me hooked from episode 2 onward. The drama, 80's theme, wrestling and acting was done so brilliantly. I thought to myself as the episodes are only like 35-40 minutes each i'll watch 5 episodes one night and 5 the next night.. THAT just didn't happen, I watched the entire season in one sitting. I'm so glad this has been renewed for a second season, potentially this show could go on for years with the amount of different characters they could bring in.. I say "BRING IT ON!!" IF you like wrestling *cough* women wrestling.. and a deep story within a show, this show is certainly for you.

At first i was all nah... But WOW. every time and i mean every single time Alison Brie sets foot in front of camera devoted to a character she just nails it. This is no different. If you can't jive on the premise 4 episodes in i don't think you're gonna make it.

I've never cared about wrestling. I still don't but while wrestling sets the stage on this show (if you're a fan you'll be satisfied) it's not so much about the craft but about the women who sign up for it. I didn't expect to like the cast and storylines as much as I did but there are so many showstoppers (also Kate Nash is in this??!). Absolutely recommended!

One of the most unique shows this decade. Allison Brie definitely proved she can carry a show, and the early 80s period settings and costumes are well done. Was that Allison Brie's tits? I think that was her tits? I only watched the first 6 episodes and just now decided to drop it as I lost interest. I gets soap opera-y quickly. I hope it is canceled, as I don't think we need female wrestlers rapping in season 2, which is what a lot of the original show actually turned into, as there wasn't much actual wrestling.

I remember when the actual GLOW tv show was on, and it was quite a joke at the time, the way that Taco Bell is a joke compared to real mexican food. But the thing that was GLOW is certainly deserving of a show to pay homage. It was a odd time to be alive and the original show was certainly odd.

Maybe this show gets better...but then again maybe it doesn't.
After putting myself through two painfully boring and uncomfortable episodes, I have no interest in finding out.

OMG I LITERALLY BINGE WATCHED THIS IN A DAY AND A HALF!!! At first my opinion (BEFORE WATCHING) was oh something to get me off of Netflix and Sense 8 breaking up. OMFG for some reason I really like this show. Its really good. This show doesn't replace Sense 8 but it is my new favorite Netflix show.
**Message to Netflix:
DONT CUT THIS SHOW LIKE YOU CUT ALL THE OTHER GOOD SHOWS OR IM MOVING TO HULU!! Jk I love you!!!

Made it through the first season and that was enough. Felt like nothing interesting happened and can't imagine how they're gonna go on.

Carefully plotted and filled with sublime puns. While season one was more of an introduction some real life gender differences are shown in season two, emphasising the difficulties such an act would pose in real life. One of the key aspects I liked about season two was the motivation for wrestling itself and how it differs in this dystopian universe. While the show fits the "nowadays" motivation, setting it up in the 70's enables some issues a cornerstone feminine wrestling act would pose at the time. The resolution for most of the issues the ladies face is annoyingly realistic and while I'm not a big fan of girly stuff I must say I am loving this.
Watching the show I find myself making the same faces SS does - and loving the show for it. It's definitely getting better as far as I'm concerned. While the show has more or less all the elements modern audiences want, I still wouldn't say it's a show for everybody.
I'll give season two because of that 4.5/5 rating !

Didn't like it. It was not my type of humour.
