This show has a "Nolan"-like approach towards the subject of Gotham City and Batman. Batman is not yet in the picture, as Bruce is only a teenager. This show centers on the Commissioner James Gordon. Many characters that Batman fans love are getting their introduction here: Pinguin, Cat Woman, Poisin Ivy and many more. The acting is really good (Ben McKenzie and Camren Bicondova are brilliant) and there is much more to explore in this part of the DC Universe. Not only MARVEL has grood stories to tell. I hope that the second season keeps up with what season 1 started to deliver! No masks and capes are here, plain and simple the person AND not behind a mask. There is no black and white thinking here, this show goes deeper. Morality and humanity are questioned. Although this his Gotham City, it could be anywhere for real...
