What's Hot Today

Have any advice for Miley Cyrus at the end of the 'Hannah Montana' era?

It's wild to think that on March 26, 2006 just a bit more than four years ago the Disney Channel's tween-tastic series Hannah Montana launched with the then relatively unknown Miley Cyrus at the helm. Well, she was a bit known, what with being the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, a country star who'd struck gold with a one-hit wonder Achy Breaky Heart. But generally, at the time, it somehow seemed unlikely that the awkward looking gal would shoot to stardom through a silly little show that featured her as a pop star who goes to a regular school in disguise, so she can lead a (relatively) normal life. But as we all now know, Miley is nothing but regular she's now one of the biggest stars in the world. Tonight, however, begins the end of an era for Miley, as the final season of Hannah premieres at 8 p.m. At this juncture, we should all take a moment to ponder how she's handled this transition and what it all means for her post-Disney future. Just look at the photo attached to this blog post the change in Miley from season 1 of Hannah Montana (on the left) to the current Miley who seemingly Can't Be Tamed (on the right) is downright stunning. But doesn't almost everyone radically change between the ages of 13 and 17? I certainly did. To Read More Click Here .

In its final season, the Stewart family (played by Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus) moves to a ranch, which includes a horse. Meanwhile, Miley has a choice of going to college with her BFF Lily Truscott (Emily Osment) or continue her music career as Hannah Montana. "Everybody kind of grows up in the final season, Osment told TV Squad. "We've all matured. We all have boyfriends and normal jobs and everybody has new hair and clothes. The kids who have been watching the show since they were little, we showed them that we all grew up together. Cyrus, 17, recently released her third non-Hannah album, 'Can't Be Tamed.' Her first non-'Hannah' film, 'The Last Song,' was released earlier in the year, and she's currently working on the independent film 'LOL (Laughing Out Loud)' with Demi Moore. "Sometimes I'm lazy, I get bored, I get scared / I feel ignored, I feel happy, I get silly / I choked on my own words, I make wishes," she sings. Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana Get Ready for Graduation

Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus fans are used to getting the best of both worlds, as the theme song goes, after watching the 17-year-old songstress juggle her TV and music career for four years. But soon viewers will be singing a very different tune as the show prepares to premiere its fourth, and final, season. Hannah Montana Forever, premiering on Sunday, July 11 at 8/7c, follows student-by-day, pop-star-by-night Miley Stewart as she and her dad and brother relocate from their Malibu beach house to their new ranch. In addition to the Stewart's family new digs, the upcoming season will welcome new guest stars including Sheryl Crow, Jay Leno, Kelly Ripa, Ray Liotta and Christine Taylor. However, the biggest change in the series' final episodes will be Miley's graduation from high school, and her struggle to figure out her next move. "[It's about] her graduating, and seeing what college is all about and seeing whether she wants to pursue her career or go to school and try to live a normal life," Cyrus told reporters at a news conference for the show's last episodes. "As the character has grown up, we've grown up. As we've moved on to new things, they're moving on to new things, and going to colleges," she says. "I think we've all graduated this year, as well, along with our characters. So I think it is a lot of art imitating life." To Read More Click Here .

Miley Cyrus to star in thriller 'Wake': The post-Hannah evolution continues

Moving ever further from her smile-and-sparkles Hannah Montana image, teenpopper Miley Cyrus is set to take on a role in the upcoming paranormal thriller Wake based on the young adult novel by Lisa McMann, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The first in a series of three novels, Wake follows a teenager who is unwittingly drawn into other people's dreams. (Some of which, we're guessing, might be less than pleasant.) It's not necessarily an obvious choice for the girl who became a pop princess by chirping sunshiny hooks in a bleach-blonde wig. But right now Miley's short movie resume has two wholesome hits (Hannah Montana: The Movie and The Last Song) and not much else. Maybe a thriller could be just the thing to keep her fans on their toes - and even bring in some new moviegoers who wouldn't be caught dead at a Hannah Montana pic? And besides, EW's on Lisa Schwarzbaum gave Cyrus props for her acting in Last Song. So who's to say the girl can't stretch her (black, vulture-like) wings a bit on screen? Source Here

'Hannah Montana': Miley Cyrus Finds It Harder to Grow Up

At 17 years old, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has gotten a lot of criticism for her so-called raunchy antics of late. There's that "Can't Be Tamed" single, the provocative video that came with it, and the recent on-stage kiss that she claims didn't happen. However, the musician defended herself by saying that the problem's not with her; it's with Hollywood itself. On her recent appearance on "The Billy Bush Show," she told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush that there's a double standard going on that makes it harder for her to perform. Her steps towards maturity are being looked down upon because of it, and Miley Cyrus can't take that anymore. "Girls are immediately going to say, 'Oh, she's trying to sell sex,'" the Hannah Montana star explained. "Well, I love Zac Efron, but what's he selling? He's gorgeous, he's hot, I don't go see his movie because I'm like, 'He's such a fantastic actor.' He's a great actor, but he's hot." To Read More Click Here .
