"Hart of Dixie" is moving to an all-new night when it returns with new episodes in a month, and unfortunately, that new night is Friday.Generally referred to as the "death time slot" for shows that air on Friday nights (as most people aren't actually home watching TV on Friday evenings), many fans are worried that this is the final nail in the coffin of The CW's southern charmer. 'Hart of Dixie' casts '7th Heaven' star Barry Watson: Who will the 'Gossip Girl' alum fall for in Bluebell?

Time to book a one-way ticket to Bluebell, because "Hart of Dixie" just cast yet another heartthrob in a recurring role.Barry Watson, best known for being one of the Camden siblings on "7th Heaven" and for his short stint as Serena's boyfriend on "Gossip Girl," will join The CW's Southern charmer beginning in April, E! Online reports.And because this is Bluebell, Watson's character -- Davis Polk, a "southern gentleman who is handsome, quick-witted and a little bit shy" -- won't stay single for long. TV ratings: Olympics dip but still dominate Monday, 'Bachelor' and 'The Following' fall

Fast National ratings for Monday, Feb. 10, 2014With some of the marquee events having an off day at the Winter Olympics Monday, NBC's ratings fell off some both from Sunday's numbers and from the comparable night of the 2010 Olympics. Still, the network beat the combined totals of its four rivals in both viewers and adults 18-49."The Bachelor" was the night's top show not originating from Sochi, although it was down a bit from last week. "Almost Human" and "The Following" also dropped for FOX, as did "Intelligence" for CBS.NBC drew 22.2 million viewers and a 12.7 rating/19 share in households for the night. ABC (6.3 million, 4.1/6) was the best of the rest, edging CBS (6 million, 3.9/6) for second place. FOX delivered 5.05 million viewers and a 3.1/5 to take fourth, and The CW (900,000, 0.6/1) trailed.In the 18-49 demographic, NBC's 6.4 rating was more than three times as high as No. 2... //

There’s a new eligible bachelor in Bluebell. Barry Watson is joining “Hart of Dixie” in a recurring role, a CW representative told TheWrap . Watson will play Davis Polk, who’s described as “a southern gentleman who is handsome, quick-witted, and a little bit shy.” He’ll become very popular among Bluebell’s belles, but Davis has his eye on one specific (and popular) character on the show.   Read More... //

TV ratings: 'The Bachelor' and 'Castle' propel ABC to viewers win, tie with CBS in the demo

Fast National ratings for Monday, Feb. 3, 2014"The Bachelor's" dramatic episode earned the reality dating show its best demo rating since the premiere on Jan. 6, while "Castle" came back from a week off with its total viewers up 10 percent over the last new episode. Elsewhere, "The Following" dipped a little more after taking a tumble last Monday. Its lead-in of a new episode of "Almost Human" also dropped some from its last new episode.ABC was the winner on the night, edging out CBS by 26,000 viewers -- 8.799 million for ABC and a 5.8 rating/9 share in households to CBS' 8.773 million and a 5.6/9. FOX was third with 6.1 million viewers and a 3.8/6, while NBC, without a new "Blacklist," was fourth with 3.8 million and a 2.4/4. The CW trailed with 1 million viewers and a 0.7/1.Thanks largely to the second hour of "The Bachelor," ABC tied CBS for the win... //

Who broke up on 'Hart of Dixie?'

Another relationship bit the dust on Monday (Feb. 3) night's "Hart of Dixie" ... but it wasn't either of the relationships we were hoping for (cough, Zoe and Joel and Wade and Vivian, cough). Nope, the couple that called it quits was actually AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) and Lavon (Cress Williams).This was the one couple that was perfect for each other. They were the solid, stable rock at the center of all the crazy relationship issues in Bluebell. They were the heart and soul of the town. They worked so well together and the love they shared was one of those rare connections that it's actually hard to remember a time when they weren't together. But for some reason, Lavon couldn't tell AB that he was sure, after spending one year together, that she was the love of his life.This was where the tears started flowing.
