This show is delightful. The whole set up and feel of it is just perfect. I love how the stories are independent of each other and yet seamlessly tells the story of all the people that exists. It is great at painting picture of the people it portrays with visuals and character traits, so the stories doesn't need a ton of background to make sense. Just great.

One of my low-key faves of the fall, this show came out of nowhere to earn my love. It's so clever and well done. Even the order of the episodes is genius. By the time you get to E3, if you're not completely smitten, there is no hope for you.

I'm not sure if this show is meant to be just funny. It seems it might try to be somewhat insightful and probably a little modern, just like we've learned HBO can deliver. It will be off-putting for people who were expecting a sit-com, it might be hard to swallow (excuse me) the LGBT themes for some. I have to admit I belive myself to be free of prejudice but there might have been an overabundance of man-on-man action here for the first 2 episodes. The characters however are great and so diverse that I bet comedy can be found in the eye of the beholder, depending on which of the magically colorful cast you might associate yourself or your friends with. I am loving it so far, but if you're not sure that you should try it, this might help a bit.

Honest, if a bit dramatic for entertainment purposes, realistically progressive, in a refreshingly unpretentious way, colorfully diverse in nature, and charmingly humble. This is art, entertainment, philosophy, politics, all blended together in an (appropriately) all natural approach that makes it feel like a slice of real life+. I feel like it needs a small, calculated, dose of emotional complexity to bring it to the next level and really get us to connect with the passing characters, and I say calculated because it needs to do so organically to the show's present format.

(For Season 1)
Finally someone is representing people of different ethnicities and not in a stereotypical way! Mainly focused on working adults, showing the irony of everyday life, painfully realistic. Made me see things from a different perspective.
Each episode was focused on a separate story, yet they were all together connected by one character - the drug dealer.
Though it did lack overall purpose - there wasn't a goal that would be achieved at the end. It felt more like an insight in their lives rather than a story with a culmination etc. There were some storylines that I wanted to be continued, but the characters weren't showed again.
I recommend to watch this!

For this show, I can give the exact same review as for "High Maintenance - web" - weird, interesting and unique. I really appreciate that this show has longer episodes tough! If you're a bit lost with this series, go check out the prequel (the web-series) first, it will clear things up a little!

Edit: I love to see the so very different people in the daily live and how it all comes more together in the second season.
