'Prison Break' Star Lands 'House' Role

The eighth season of  House  doesn’t begin for another month and already it’s ramping up its slate of guest stars. Former  Prison Break  star  Wentworth Miller  has booked an episode on the veteran Fox medical series, creator  David Shore told  The Hollywood Reporter  at the Fox fall premiere party. Miller last appeared on the small screen with a guest role on NBC’s L aw & Order: SVU  in a 2009 episode and the  Prison Break  telepic  The Final Break. Miller’s appearance won’t be House’s only challenge in the new season, which begins Monday, Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. on Fox. Shore says "the cases" will give the doctor a run for his money, who also said that the departure of  Lisa Edelstein  was one reason why the producers "decided to have the time passage [in the season opener]. The world outside of  House  has settled into its own environment and it’s completely different in so many ways, including the fact that Lisa’s not there. House has to adapt." Read More... //

Odette Annable Discusses Doing Double Duty on 'House' and 'Breaking In'

When the new television season begins, there will be a good possibility viewers will be seeing double with  Odette Annable. Annable, who stars as thrillseeker Melanie in  Breaking In,  the half-hour  Christian Slater  comedy that seemed dead in the water until Fox  resurrected it in late August , landed a series regular role (as Dr. Jessica Adams) on veteran medical drama  House  prior to the renewal. Luckily for the actress, she didn't have to give up either gig. Now that she's wanted on two series, how will she balance her duties? "I don't know. I'm very excited to be on the same network doing two different shows, playing two completely different characters -- on a drama, on a comedy," Annable told  The Hollywood Reporter at the Fox fall premiere party. "I hope that they're going to be able to work it out. I'm ready and willing." Read More... //
