'House' finale: Olivia Wilde reprising role as Thirteen

Still mourning the fact that Cuddy won't be returning for the "House" series finale? Lisa Edelstein Is Not Returning For ‘House’ Series Finale

House  fans won’t be happy about this latest news from  TV Line . Actress Lisa Edelstein is not returning for the medical drama’s series finale. An inside source has spoken with TV Line, confirming the bad news that Edelstein’s Cuddy will not be showing up in the May 21st, news she shared with the news  outlet  last summer in August. "I haven’t talked to anyone over there so it would seem unlikely. Who knows what I’ll be doing. I have a lot on my plate. I wouldn’t want to answer that and get anyone’s hopes up. TV ratings: 'The Voice' steady Monday, but 'Smash' drops some more

Fast National ratings for Monday, Feb. 20, 2012NBC led its third straight Monday night thanks to "The Voice," which was pretty steady compared to last week, falling just one tenth of a point in adults 18-49 and by about 350,000 total viewers."Smash," however, dipped some more at 10 p.m., ceding the top spot in adults 18-49 to "Hawaii Five-0" and taking a pretty good-sized dip in its second half-hour. Elsewhere, "Alcatraz" continued its downward trend on FOX, but the CBS comedy block bounced back some after last week's lower-than-usual performance. "Castle" was also up a little for ABC.NBC finished the night with 12.6 million viewers and a 7.3 rating/11 share in households. CBS (11 million, 6.7/10) came in second, beating out ABC (8.6 million, 5.7/9). FOX took fourth with 6.5 million viewers and a 3.9/6. 'House' Series Finale Set for May 21

After eight seasons, five Emmys, a pair of Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, Fox's Hugh Laurie medical drama "House" will officially be discharged from the network's schedule on May 21. Fast National ratings for Monday, Feb. 13, 2012Both "The Voice" and "Smash" fell Monday from their ratings last week -- "Smash" by a lot, dropping a full point among adults 18-49 and more than 3 million viewers. But both shows also led their time periods in the 18-49 demographic, and NBC finished the night on top for the second straight week.The other networks, however, didn't exactly capitalize on NBC's dip. Viewing was down pretty much across the board Monday, with ABC, CBS and FOX all coming in lower than they did last week.NBC drew 13.4 million viewers and a 7.9 rating/12 share in households for the night to lead CBS (10.3 million, 6.5/10) by a comfortable margin. ABC (8.3 million, 5.4/8) came in third. The Real Story Behind House's Cancellation

The decision to end House after eight seasons wasn't easy — and, it turns out, didn't necessarily have to come at all this year. According to insiders, star Hugh Laurie and his fellow executive producers David Shore and Katie Jacobs were eager to bring the long-running Fox drama back for one more year, despite conventional wisdom that everyone was ready to move on.
