Review of Humans

Humans is set in a world where the new must-have gadget is a 'Synth' -- an eerily lifelike robotic servant. It stars Katherine Parkinson and Tom Goodman-Hill as a couple who purchase a Synth (played by Gemma Chan) but quickly come to regret their decision.

Could a robot develop the mind of a serial killer? Do androids dream? When something synthetic is self aware that it is learning what does that mean for me and you? How will society change when it is more convenient and more efficient to raise your child with a machine... Thats what this show is, lofty questions in a back drop of entertainment with a massive amount of great dialog and acting.

What a great story! Once again intellect wins out when it comes to storytelling and remembering character development is key. Even the ancillary characters are arcing!Whoever is directing the actors as robots as well has a great eye the " robot people " are all acted to the nines. I love this show.

The producer of the show created a Synth school for people to go and learn how to be and act like a synth. He put every actor that's a synth in a show through major training for the roles to make them more robot like.
