May 17, 2010
When a high school classmate of Nash’s, Todd, offers Boy Crazy Stacey a gig at a relatively unknown festival, the Resurrocktion, Nash grabs the chance with both hands, only to find on the day that it’s a Christian event. After being given a Jesus complex by an inspirational minister, Nash decides to play anyway. He’s going to teach these goody-goodies a thing or two about the devil’s music. After meeting Todd’s Christian super-group, Goodspeed, the members of BCS find time to explore the festival. Luke’s quest to deflower virgins takes a detour when he picks up ex-alcoholic new-born, Michelle. Needing to convince some punters to come see BCS, Nash is way out of his depth until Comet comes to his aid. Their bonding time is spoiled by the arrival of Todd, who ostensibly wants to help but as Todd’s fans swarm them, his motivations start to seem a little suspect. Meanwhile, Jasper encounters some rampant homophobia from Goodspeed bass-player Clint and subsequently urges Nash not to play any offensive songs onstage. Nash is unmoved and goes ahead with his plan, until offended punters start leaving in droves. As Nash desperately tries to convince the audience to stay, Todd and Goodspeed come to the rescue, crashing the BCS set. Though the fans love it, Nash and his friends are incensed. This grievous crime leads to an all in backstage brawl between Boy Crazy Stacey and their Christian rivals!
