This is not what you expect a typical zombie series to be. Yes, there are awesome zombie make-ups and gory men-eating scenes, but "In the Flesh" mainly deals with the social and psychological trauma of a possible zombie apocalypse, both for the victims, their families and the former zombies. This was quite a interesting take on the subject. As a whole the show was a bit too slow for me in the beginning, the second season picked up the pace and I liked it much better. I would have enjoyed a third season, but I guess it wasn't meant to be :(
