If These Promos are Any Indication, 'It's Always Sunny' Season 7 Will be the Best Yet

For me, it's not a stretch at all to call It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia "uplifting," "inspiring" or "heartwarming." Watching Charlie shill Kitten Mittens always uplifts my soul. The series has inspired me to do LOTS of things, like drink wine out of soda cans, and make the dumpster behind the Burger King my new make-out spot. And if the thought of Charlie and Frank playing Night Crawlers doesn't warm your heart, you may not even have one. But if you define those terms by, like, stories about good people making a difference and helping others with smiles on their faces and songs in their hearts, then I guess these promos for the new season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia in the style of Hallmark movies probably seem extra-tone deaf. And extra-awesome. (For the record, I find them extra-awesome, too.) Read More... //www.buddytv.com/articles/its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia/if-promos-are-any-indication-i-41291.aspx

Danny DeVito at Comic-Con: Major Mother Lover!

Fresh off of witnessing Danny DeVito ridicule and squeeze the buttcheeks of the interviewer next to me, I stood next to a man that's been entertaining me since I was born at Comic-Con last week. How do you possibly speak to such a legend? By discussing his character banging every mother on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ... and dodging sewer turds, of course. I also asked about the possibility of DeVito's hilarious wife, Rhea Pearlman, coming on board the show, his relationship with Charlie and Frank's ever-growing crazy hair. 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' Season 7 will indeed focus on 'Fat Mac'

Rob McElhenney's 50-pound weight gain will not get sidelined during the upcoming seventh season of FX comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." The network released the first promo for the Sept 15. premiere and plays out like a sepia-toned Hallmark Hall of Fame movie about some obscure terminal disease. But really, he just can't stop eating. McElhenney, the series creator who also plays Mac, apparently put the weight on just to get some laughs on the show. "It's been disgusting to watch him go through with this adventure," co-star Charlie Day recently told ScreenJunkies. "We were a little on the fence about it for his own personal health and safety... but it has definitely made Mac a lot funnier."Is Mac funnier fat? Judge for yourself:... //blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/08/its-always-sunny-in-philadelphia-season-7-will-indeed-focus-on-fat-mac.html

'Always Sunny' At Comic-Con: The Cast Goes All Out In Costume

The cast of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" showed up to Comic-Con in appropriate attire: costumes. Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney, Kaitlin Olson, Charlie Day and Danny DeVito appeared at a Sunday panel for their rude FX comedy wearing their outlandish ensembles from "The Nightman Cometh," their infamous musical-within-the-show they toured with in 2009. The crowd at the pop-culture convention roared when the gang stepped onto the stage. "My pants don't fit anymore," complained McElhenney, who gained weight for season seven. Before the panel at the San Diego Convention Center, the audience previewed the seventh season premiere, which is set to debut Sept. 15. The episode, titled "Frank's Pretty Woman," introduced the dramatic 50-pound weight gain of McElhenney's Mac and followed the gang as they attempted to sway DeVito's Frank from marrying a crack-smoking hooker. "Welcome to our last year at Comic-Con," McElhenney joked after the panel quickly devolved into raunchiness. While answering questions from fans, the cast teased that the gang will participate in a high school reunion and a child pageant in the upcoming season. The presentation ended with the gang leading a rousing rendition of "Dayman Fighter of the Nightman," one of the musical's songs, with more than 6,000 fans who gathered inside the convention's largest venue. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia Star Gains 50 Pounds for Role

Well, Kaitlin Olsen did gain a lot of weight during her pregnancy (which was worked into the show for her character, Dee Reynolds). But that's not who I'm talking about. I'm talking about actor Rob McElhenney, Olsen's husband. The actor, who plays Mac in the FX comedy series, has reportedly gained fifty pounds for the show's seventh season, which is just about to wrap up filming. Well, we say reportedly; we have a picture (courtesy  WENN ). That's McElhenney on the left, with wife Olsen and their son Axel on the right. He looks pretty chunky, doesn't he? But why exactly is McElhenney, who usually boasts a muscular physique, packing on the pounds?
