Cleverly taking the best parts of telenovelas and more traditional dramas, Jane the virgin has created a hybrid show that stands out from the crowd. The acting is solid and no-one pulls focus (although Gina Rodriguez as the eponymous Jane does shine a little brighter than the rest), creating a brilliant ensemble effect. I cannot recommend this show highly enough.
