Law & Order: SVU 12.05 “Branded” Review

I really enjoyed this week’s episode of Law & Order: SVU. Other than the Jennifer Love Hewitt episode, it was my favorite of the new season. The crime was fairly mysterious, the guest stars were great (especially Jason Wiles who played Alexander Gammon). Two men were drugged, tied up and assaulted in this episode. The first was Bill Dixon, who was sexually assaulted and had "ruiner" branded into his chest by his attacker. The second was Victor Ramos, who had "traitor" branded into his chest this time. Stabler and Benson went on a short, but interesting, chase to find the perp. They discovered the perp was a genius hacker, which made it difficult to track him/her. They also managed to get into the apartments of the victims by hiding inside of a delivery box. The detectives also managed to figure out that a third victim would be targeted soon – Alexander Gammon). To Read More  Click Here.

Law & Order: SVU 12.05 ''Wet'' Review

The case on this week's episode of SVU has a few interesting twists when a woman is found dead in a fountain. There's a few classic instances of misdirection, including the police arresting a creepy guy who cuts women's hair (not a real hairdresser) and the guy who had sex with her before she died. But both of those suspects are cleared quickly. That's when we learn that the victim is Lindsay Elding (a former cocaine addict), a PR director for a cola company. I think I haven't been paying much attention to the news lately, because according to this show, cola companies are up there with tobacco companies as purveyors of evil. The hatred of cola companies led to Lindsay acquiring a lot of enemies, but she managed to get around most of them by investing the company's funds in charities. That's when the case takes a twist - Lindsay was actually killed by poisonous mushrooms. Well, inadvertently. The mushrooms made her delirious and affected her respiratory functions, causing her to drown in the fountain. Early in the episode we're also introduced to the new ADA, Mikka Von, who helps the detectives with the case. To Read More  Click Here .

Law & Order: SVU 12.04 ''Merchandise'' Review

After being incredibly impressed with last week's episode of SVU, with Jennifer Love Hewitt as guest star, I knew it was going to be difficult for this week's episode to top that, or even match it. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the same caliber. But it was still a solid episode of SVU. A young girl was hit by a cab, but Benson and Stabler soon discover that she had also been abused and stared before dying. Tracking down her father, they learn that the sent his daughter and son off to a farm to work because the family had lost everything after their mother had died. The father begged Benson and Stabler to help find his still missing son, Micah. Benson and Stabler try to track down the woman who offered Micah and his sister jobs at a farm in the first place while Fin hits the streets, trying to track Micah down. He's led to a group prostitution ring. When they finally find Micah, he's a prostitute with scars up and down his back and is begging to be let go, otherwise  they'll get punished . His lawyer won't let the detectives question Micah while he's still a suspect in his sister's murder, so they call in Dr. George Huang. To Read More  Click Here .
