I wasn't sold on this series, in it's 1st couple of episodes but I kept watching and I'm glad because it's got much stronger as it's went on. Tea Leoni is impressive in the lead.

I really resent this show for not living up to its potential. Such a strong start, such an amazing cast, story arc and family dynamics that I want to worship sooo bad, but such a disappointing downhill since the episode 3, irritatingly naive and lame story-lines and unbelievable dialogues with so many "proud" glances exchanged among the characters I can't even tell how many times I cringed. I really hope these past two episodes were some form of identity crisis. Get back on track of being awesome, please!

What a great show it's a mix of scandal and homeland in the same time. i can't wait to see where they go with the story-line.

Téa Leoni is charming and a fantastic casting choice, giving this show a lot more potential than it otherwise would have. Actually, all the of the cast is pretty great, especially Tim Daly as her husband. The show lacks subtlety though, beating you over the head with the point of whatever political crisis of the week is at hand, but perhaps it will grow out of it.

Favorite show of the week. I love the McCord family! In the same style as The West Wing and The Newsroom, LOVE IT!!!!! Tea Leoni and Tim Daly have amazing chemistry, you actually buy that they've been happily married for over 20 years. It's really, IMO, hit its stride in Season 3, it's astonishingly good and current with world affairs. LOVE!!!!

Love this show! The Sidereel Reviewer was way off base to pan this show! So what that many of the actors are tv veterans, who cares, they have a job, and most are very good actors. I think the story of this show is good, and again who cares if other variations of this kind of show has been done before! What matters is this show line right now, so far the writing is good, the plot is good, the actors are good, and I loved it! So my 5 stars I hope will help viewers not to settle for the Sidereel reviewers pan :p

EDIT: This show has become my favorite...the issues they delve into with both feet are awesomely timely and poignant. The most recent episode explained SLUTSHAMING and how sex pics online don't harm a guy's reputation, but mess up a woman's reputation. It was handled with the show's usual DIGNITY and refusal to cave to convenience.

**************
I find this a refreshing political drama. The family dynamic between Tea Leoni and her husband and family is amazingly poignant but not phony, and her knowledge is plausible.

The negative reviews seem to complain it doesn't live up to its potential, but I find it riveting every week with twists and backstories coming out...well written and interesting.

I LOVE this show, can't believe it's rumoured to be in danger. Tea Leoni is so great in this mature role. She irritates me most of the time but she really shines in this. Has enough humour in the drama to not to be too depressing like some political dramas, plus the hint of an underlying running conspiratorial storyline keeps it linear without being one of those, same episode different situation type shows.

I saw the trailer, then I learned that Morgan Freeman is behind it and considered it a must-check-out show. Then I learn it has Tea Leoni, Geoffrey Arend, Tim Daly (Wings!), Zeljko Ivanek (Damages!), Marin Hinkle, and Keith Carradine...amazing cast. The stories are underdeveloped in that they hurl toward the end without sussing out enough details to tie episodes together. Even with that said, I hope it doesn't get cancelled, but I have a feeling it will.
